Ringebu is very walkable (15 minutes gets you from one end to the other) and well serviced with supermarkets, clothing stores etc. Visit the historical Ringebu stave church not too far away, its an 800 year old church built in the 12th century. Around Ringebu there are many hiking routes to soak in the fresh air and surroundings.

Ringebu is a very small town with not many restaurants although with very good bakery and sausages shop and restaurant. We didn't like the Chinese restaurant. B27 Hostel was very conveniently located, you can reach several ski areas from there and it was inexpensive.
