The owner herself was there to welcome us in doupt of a bit late evening. She showed us all the properties an guided us to the nearest village to get late supper. Everything was properly ready in the department. What a huge space: three rooms including kitchen and bathroom. She promised to deliver breakfast at a precise time in the morning. We handled alone after the meeting. The complete privacy was the VERY best. No one disturbing us and safe parking in front of our windows. This is the very much what we hope when travelling through Europe these unsecure days. The old fashion Danish "mansion feeling and field" was amazing. Just like from the film serie "Arvingar". But, seriously the buildings were renovated with high quality good taste and looked like "the days when everything was a bit better and safer"

There was a great restaurant across the square from the hotel, next to the station building. The Pizza was especially good.
There was free parking in the station carpark around 100m away from the hotel and what looked like a number of other free parking opportunities in the area.

Lovely little town with a variety of old buildings, small streets, lovely park areas and good choices of food outlets. Ate at the Ristorante Fratelli across the street from the hotel. Excellent ! ! Easy to walk around to town.

Kolding was a bit of a mixed bag.
Kolding was a bit of a mixed bag. We stayed for 2 nights and used it as a base to travel to Legoland and other parts of Jutland. The drive into Kolding was slow due to traffic, and finding parking next to the hotel was tricky with the different duration rules, but then settled on parking in the hotel itself. In the evening, around 7ish, the area around the castle felt very quiet, too quiet. There were restaurants open but it did not feel lively, though this may have been because it was mid April.
A nice stop was at the StorCentre shopping centre. Plenty more people here, lots of shops and lots of food opens. Restaurants seem to stay open longer here than the rest of denmark in general.
All in all not a bad stay, definitely needed more time to explore.

Beautiful Town near the coast, (Little Belt) with a lake. Good starting point for a daytrip to other sights in Denmark such as Ribe (viking town), Legoland (less then 1 hour drive), Kopenhagen (2.5 hours), Bogense (50 mins).
Only a view minutes from the lake you have several sushi bars, pizza takeaways, thai restaurant, fine dining, supermarket and a passage with pubs. There is also a wonderful botanical garden with petting zoo (goats), rose garden and a miniture of the town of Kolding to walk through.

Kolding is a nice town with a good history.
Kolding is a nice town with a good history. The viking castle in the middle of the town is obviously a main attraction, but if you look further you'll find a toy-museum downtown, and if you venture a little outside of the center, you'll find the Trapholt museum, which is very modern and progressive. Kolding also has an amazing graffiti-culture which really shines when you walk around downtown.
If you're looking for lunch, go to either Tobber's or The Mokka Café, and if you rather fancy a burger the only place you need to go is the Burger Spot.
If you're looking for dinner, you can have dinner at the restaurant in the viking castle. It's one of the best restaurants in Kolding. A bit pricey, but worth it. Otherwise, downtown you'll find Rafael's Ristorante, and if you're not in the mood for Italian, you can skip down to Hereford Beefstouw.
If you want to hit the town for a beer in the evening, there are three quality places to look for. If you're looking for the young crowd you need to go to Knud's Garage. For a more adult crowd seek out the You'll Never Walk Alone pub (this is also the place to go if you're looking for a sports-pub). Finally, if you're more of a nightclub kinda person, Pitstop is the best in Kolding.
Very nice and luxurious apartment in the old city centre of Kolding. Lots of cafés and eateries around, but still quiet at night. Well equiped kitchen. Very clean; nice beds and bedding; luxury bathroom. Balcony and terraces looked lovely, but wind and rain spoiled the opportunity. Room service available from the restaurant below, where you can pick up your key from the helpful staff
breakfast was quite okay, not as extensive as in the scandic hotel i usually stay in but good enough. The bed was comfortable, room was clean and no noises/it was quiet. There was free parking in the area incl charging stations. The Fratelli Italian restaurant across the street is very good.
I've used the hotel regularly since 2006, it is convenient for work and an easy ride into Kolding. The rooms have recently been renovated to a high standard and are spotless. The staff, long-serving and new are excellent and I always receive a warm welcome. Small but well-equipped gym
Nice hotel near the highway. There is a big parking lot where you can park for free, you just have to register your plate number in the hotel. The room was not very big, but nice and clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was rich and delicious.
Transported to a serene and calm location. The surroundings are stunning, located in Kolding Fjord.
The hotel itself, is grand without being pretentious. Double Rooms hugely spacious.
I used for a business trip, but will come back with partner.
The only positive thing I can say: The Kolding hotel, which I was given as an alternative, is very good and extremely well located, right in the center of Kolding. When I return to Kolding I have no doubt I will stay there again.
The hotel location was good. Breakfast was wel assorted, and was cleared timely so better be on time. The room was comfortable as was the room temperature. Private hotel parking under the hotel was great.
We've spent one night in Mit Bed & Breakfast. Everything was exeptional, clean and comfortable. Karen Margrethe is a lovely host. I can't recomend her and her BnB more. :) Kolding is a beautiful city!
The location was excellent. Short walk to shopping, historical sites, restaurants, etc. Good location as well to access to Legoland, Jelling Stone, etc Staff were helpful and friendly.
The parking is OK, and the breakfast was not too bad, although there was not enough room for everyone to sit (and the restaurant next door has plenty of space but was not allowed).
Huge apartments, a lot of room. A lovely breakfast and very helpful staff. A beautiful location by the lake and in the centre of Kolding, very easy access everywhere.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was extremely warm and friendly 😀 Awesome breakfast! Very good location, super close to Kolding Central Station.
Hotel staff was exemplary. We were at awe with their friendliness and assistance. Everything, from arrival to departure was perfect. We loved our stay here.
