Hammerfest is a small but fine city and a perfect spot for a short weekend vacation. They have lots of restaurants to try and beautiful scenery to explore. Because it is quite a small area there might be more to do, when renting a car but for just a weekend trip "on foot" it is a perfect place :) We saw "wild" reindeer on multiple occations, as they seem to live in the city. They just roam around and eat the flowers from peoples gardens. Beautiful animals and somewhat funny to see them walking around.
Visit the Polarbear society (Tourist centre) - it is very nice to visit the exhibition and super interesting.

Unfailingly courteous and helpful people, even when struggling to stand or walk in the storm-force winds battering the streets. Wide variety of restaurants offering different culinary experiences - sushi, burgers etc., and high end traditional. I did not visit any of the frequently-mentioned monuments or mountain viewpoints because of the winds (see above) and zig-zag paths heavily blocked by snow-drifts. I was there to draw, after all. (Visited in the first week of March).
I was very lucky with my room: I looked straight at the harbour and church from my bed. Free hot water and tea bags whenever needed. Otherwise everything was fine and kind of as expected for a big modern hotel - good wifi, friendly staff etc. The breakfast was nice. Location is brilliant, and I really liked Hammerfest, as it is not too small to be bored yet not as touristy/big as other towns in the North of Norway. I washed two items of clothing with the soap in the bathroom and they still smell nice even 4 days afterwards :)
It's a new hotel, everything looks new. The food was ok, but not enough vegetables. This was the cheapest beer in Norway at 60% of the higher prices I have been paying. The road is being widened, maybe this is a negative, waiting at lights, but it's a positive for anyone reading this who will find the works complete. It's a great drive to get to Hammerfest and it's darker than Tromso. The morning staff were very nice, maybe because my dog howled at them.
The room was clean and comfortable.staff were really lovely to chat with and gave great insight to the area.
The Breakfast was absolutely AMAZING. Endless choices and a small detail but important to myself, the size of the coffee mug at breakfast was nice and big unlike most hotels really small white cups. That made me really happy to have a decent coffee in the morning
Room in perfect condition, it seemed recently constructed. Easy check-in and check out without visiting the reception. Nice location by the sea. Free parking in front of hotel. Good breakfast. Very calm and quiet. Nice modern architecture.
I loved the open plan kitchen, dining and lounge with attached balcony that overlooks the mountains. A beautiful home away from home and more. It’s located in a charming village not far from Hammerfest or Nordkapp
This is a very nice hotel in a great location with a great view (even when there are no reindeer grazing in front of your window as when we were there :-).
The best breakfast we had during our trip.
It was more of a workers' hotel, but you probably can't choose that far north.
We did not have breakfast, the room was spacious, equipment sufficient.
The bathroom was also larger than standard.
Breakfast was good and there were many delicious options to have. Location was great but it was little bit difficult to find the parking area for our van near to hotel.
Really good hotel a little bit from Hammerfest city centre but a nice walk from the centre to the hotel. Very nice room with very nice view. Good breakfast.
