All staff were very helpful and polite. Internally better than the outside suggests.
A modern hotel in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, centrally located within the Midlands and close to Alton Towers, with excellent motorway, road links and rail links to the Northwest..
In a peaceful, rural location, this country house was originally built in 1845. Today, the house has been converted into a luxurious privately owned hotel with many beautiful original features.

Apartment was ideal for an overnight stay. Apartment was quiet. Bathroom and shower facilities were clean and of a good standard. Location was close to town centre (walking distance) Letting agents communicated well. Appreciated gesture of flowers for birthday celebration.

As previously stated - there was nothing positive in the slightest. However, on reading some other reviews (wish I’d read them before booking) it was reassuring to see similar comments and photographs. As for those people giving it 9/10 and 10/10 reviews are either from the hotel, or being paid to write a totally dishonest review. The place is desperate…and no matter how you try to dress it up - it is not fit for purpose and should be removed from booking.com

My husband chose the holiday.
My husband chose the holiday. I booked the hotel and its location as I was born in Stoke on Trent. It was near to Wedgwood World and other attraction we wanted to visit. The area has changed vastly since I lived there and we relied on a Satnav to get around by car. We stayed for 4 nights. On the last day we visited Trentham gardens shopping centre which was well worth the visit. However, we spent more time there and didn't get to see the gardens which were done by Capability Brown. The swimming pool we used to visit when I was a child was long gone and I would have been interested to visit the gardens. We would stay in this hotel again due to its convenient location.. Stoke on Trent is the 'Potteries'. It's industrial era cam to a close in the 20th century with its coal mines closes, pottery firms moved out and the Shelton steel works closed down. I haven't lived there for over 50 years and it was good to come back to see the town is still thriving. I did not visit the Stadium or Regent Theatre. I did visit Moorcroft and Middleton potteries. We would have visited Gladstone pottery but it was closed.

A wet gloomy day, we met great friendly people, at the bus stop, close to Holiday Inn.
Locals chatted and were most helpful.
Town was quiet, we were not interested in shopping.
Walked through the market,indoors.
The best coffee in the centre of town, served by friendly professional staff.
Bus driver back to hotel was very friendly.
A great visit.

If you have an interest in The production of China then Stoke is an ideal location. The potteries museum has a ver comprehensive collection of China through the ages as well as part of the Staffordshire hoard. A short distance from the city centre is the fabulous V&A Wedgewood collection.

We didn’t choose our day well and places like the
Gladstone Museum and many other potteries were closed. We loved middleport Burleigh Museum and that compensated for not being able to go to the Gladstone. Disappointed with The
World of Wedgwood - the felt the museum was not ‘alive’ and the buildings didn’t reflect the industry that made the name so famous. It was just a case of looking at items through glass and reading or listening to text. Much of the text was too small. Some hands-on activities would bring it more to life. We were disappointed that the factory shop had been closed down and everything funnelled through the world of Wedgwood shop unlike the old days when you could pick up seconds at much lower prices, we thought to charge as much as they did for items made in the far east was not really acceptable. For stuff made in the UK and on site that is different. The best bit about world of Wedgwood was the water fountains where a child was having a wonderful time getting soaking wet but clearly having a lot of fun. Otherwise this is not a family venue.
The other places we visited Duchess China, Dudsens and Middleport were great. Very sad to see so much of the heritage of Stoke on Trent falling down or being knocked down.
If we came again to the potteries we would check the days that other potteries were open before we booked,
The staff were very helpful and welcoming when we arrived. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the King’s Hall in Stoke, in which there was an event taking place that we were attending. Potbank is a complex with a converted warehouse where the aparthotel is situated, above an excellent cafe/bar/bistro, which we ate at and which had live music. The accommodation itself is quite basic but quiet and fine for 1-2 nights. Would recommend this place and would stay again if have reason to be in Stoke again.
Brand new property built in a redevelopment in Hanley, Stoke on Trent.
Best bed and pillows I’ve slept on!
Even carpet in hall was deep and luxurious.
Highly recommended.
Knew car parking would be a bit of a faff, as I received both text and email beforehand explaining. It was, but at least I was forewarned.
No information in room about restaurant or ordering, so when we got to reception in morning we were too late to order breakfast. Lost revenue chance for hotel, but apart from that excellent.
The receptionist on Sunday was super friendly and made checking in a doddle. Lovely clean room with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also spotless. A nice selection of food for the evening meal on Sunday night too. The property had warned of late music until midnight ahead of my arrival but either than got cancelled or they were miles away = I heard nothing..! As a cat-dad, meeting "Bella" the hotel cat at check-in was a highlight for me too.
Beautiful period property, saddlery in need of repair, updating as loads of wallpaper and ceiling paper is coming down due to damp, it’s a shame because in it’s hey day it was a very classy and superior hotel and venue. extremely busy hotel. due to its location near to the Railway Station and Stoke, Shelton and Hanley Park
It was comfortable, cosy even. It was quiet onthe whole, certainly during the night. Really comfortable bed/pillows - slept very well. Sun streaming in in the morning. All I needed for living. Felt like a home rather than hotel room. Neighbours I bumped into very friendly. Central location is superb.
The staff were friendly enough, was asked if we were ok with stairs which we were. Also the rooms were clean and the window opened all the way instead of having a catch attached to it. Wasn’t too far from Alton towers which we made the trip for and much cheaper than the hotels closer to the park.
Breakfast was excellent although no dishes or spoons were put out for the cereals and we had to ask...minor issue.well positioned for going to different potteries and museums which was good.
Good value for money although next time I would go direct to the hotel to see if we could get it cheaper.
The hotel has plenty of on site parking and the location is great for visiting Stoke-On-Trent.
The staff are polite, efficient and professional.
Facilities are good and the food at breakfast and at dinner was very good.
Our room had nice decor and was spacious enough for one night.
It was nice that they had a pool. The reception was open 24 hours and so was the bar. The parking was decent and there was a little playground outside for the children. The TV had a decent amount of channels. And it wasn't loud there like it can be at some "cheap" hotels.
Hotel was a lovely place to walk in, very clean and lovely decor with very friendly, accommodating staff and our room was clean and fresh. Great tasty breakfast. Love the hot and cold item help yourself option. Will definitely stay here again.
That there is now a premier inn at the bottom of the same road so will be staying there on my next visit, the staff were very friendly and was the only bonus to my stay at the hotel
Location: Easy to find and access.
Room: Big, clean and well maintained
Heating: Yes
Food: Restaurant + Pub available. Also, several shops near the hotel
Staff: Very supportive
Front desk was extremely helpful. Nice to have connected hotel and restaurant bar. The bed was great for a good nights sleep. Bath towel size was very nice.
