Staying at the Cider Hut was a unique and wonderful experience. From the moment my booking was confirmed the communication and service was second to none. The wow factor from when you first arrive, alongside the lovely little touches and surprises make this such a refreshing, fun and relaxing stay.

Stamford is a beautiful Georgian market town with lots of things to do and places to visit nearby. Shopping is very enjoyable as there are plenty of independent shops as well as the usual clothing chains. The Friday open air market was excellent and there were lots of bargains to be had. The choice of restaurants and cafes was very good. We can recommend Amore for its Italian cuisine and Kancchi for Indian/ Nepalese food, but would advise that you book in advance if possible.

I love old character buildings and this certainly is a lovely old character building.
The location is good with most amenities in Stamford within a ten to fifteen minute walk.
On site parking is a bonus.
Would I stay again ? Yes, very much so, whilst there were a couple of little niggles overall I enjoyed the experience.

Easy to get around hills are gentle and manageable for those with limited walking. The Hong Kong Chinese restaurant is very good, but needs to be booked as tables go quickly. Street market on Fridays and a lots of boutique shops. The St Martins Antique centre offers a extensive range of interesting collectables.
Premium Taxis are very reasonable £3.00 from the High Street back to the William Cecil Hotel.

Stamford a picturesque market town in the south western...
Stamford a picturesque market town in the south western district of Lincolnshire accommodating 17th and 18th century stone buildings creating a quaint charming characterful location amongst half-timbered Elizabethan housing and 5 medieval parish churches.
The Romans built Erasmine Street across what is now Burghley Park Estate and forded to the River Welland west of Stamford also built a town north of Great Casterton on the River Gwash. In 61 AD Boudica of the Iceni followed the Roman Legion Legio IX Hispana across the river. The Anglo-Saxon later chose Stamford as the main town and appeared in the Doomsday Book 1086 as Stanford.
As the Great North Road passed through Stamford which became a halting town for travellers, Henry VIII, Queen Elizabeth, James I and Charles I all passed through making a post station for the Postal Service during Elizabeth I reign. Stamford is amazing, and this cottage was perfectly set so it was in the middle of town, but on a side quiet street. Claire supplies all these little things to make your stay better and the little things in many ways are the big things. She provided snacks, food, drinks, top quality shampoo, conditioner, skin care, anti bacterial, and even a full sized bar of soap. Very comfortable, really clean, all the modern conveniences, and wonderfully designed and decorated.
Rachel is an excellent host. The Annexe is excellent for someone visiting Stamford. 10-15 minute walk to the High Street, on site parking and a quiet locale.
Having continental breakfast set up in the room was perfect for us as it gave the flexibility of having our breakfast at a time that suited our own schedule.
I would definitely stay here again if visiting Stamford in the future.
Beautiful old pub with very historic rooms, the breakfast in the morning was fantastic and all of the staff were super friendly. Stamford is a great place to visit and would highly recommend staying at the Bull and Swan. Also had very nice luxury toileteries in the bathroom and homemade cookies on arrival - the added extras make this place extra special.
The hotel is old, so there are wonky floors and the sash windows might stick, but the is all part of the luxurious charm of the George. Staff can't do enough for you, breakfast was amazing. Stamford is a great getaway for a meal out, some bars, walks along the river and some cafes and coffee shops...we will be back as soon as we can!
The hotel was 100% but it is misleading to say it is in Stamford High Street when it is in the village of Duddington, some 5 miles away. Very naughty. In the event the excellence of the hotel and the beauty of Duddington won us over but we did not get to experience Stamford, as we had hoped.
Excellent room in a quiet location at the end of cul-de-sac a short walk past the college into the wonderful town of Stamford.
Great value for money with continental breakfast included.
Friendly, helpful host.
Happy to recommend this property for you visit to this wonderful town.
The house is lovely. Room was sparkling clean, spacious, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was spotless. Katie is really nice and she offered a delicious breakfast. Location was incredibly convenient, 2min away (if that) from the station, and a short walk to Stamford's city centre.
excellent small hotel in the centre of beautiful Stamford
individual rooms tastefully decorated
restaurant downstairs serves a varied good quality menu- particularly impressive vegetarian options
breakfast one of the best
staff charming and helpful
will be back again soon
Breakfast Excellent. Hotel excellent - stayed in a Town House so expect 'period' decor. Show superb. Check-in Staff lovely. Stamford is beautiful and the hotel is in the heart of it. You may need to consider the parking situation as its tight on space. Excellent all round
We enjoyed a fun and magical Christmas Eve and Christmas Day staying at Stamford Glamping Meadows. The Yurt was really comfortable for our family of four including two teenage kids. Amelia and Yogi were brilliant hosts and really accommodating. Thanks for having us!
Staff were lovely. We arrived too early to check in but were allowed to park at the hotel and go into Stamford. Breakfast amazing. Beautiful building. Comfy room. Altogether a lovely place to stay in a good location for the town.
Perfect place. Five minutes from train station, and the George Hotel with lovely Meadows. Two lovely double bedrooms with well fitted kitchen, and fab sitting room on third floor with great rooftop view of Stamford.
Warm welcome from Jill, very friendly. Quirky room in Grade 2 listed building, some nice touches on the hospitality tray, very comfortable large bed. Excellent location for Stamford.
The most beautiful location convenient for Stamford Burghley etc The hosts were wonderful and super helpful. Our stay was relaxing and peaceful and exactly what we were looking for.
