The photo made the room look more spacious than it actually was, there were too many things in such a small room, and items added since the photo was taken that made the room uncomfortable to use. Noting 8m in the offering did not translate as the photo.
The host is lovely and really would do well to buy a bigger place and transfer her skills there.
Royston itself is a sweet little town with everything within 5 minutes

Nobody at the Coach House when we arrived, waited 30 minutes for some one to be there. The room was not in the main building, it was clean but more like a motel in the middle of nowhere. They were not very friendly gave us the key to the room and that was it. We decided not to stay and booked a room at The Old Bull Inn in Royston. Royston was very good with a nice Park some good pubs and shops too. Our stay at the Old Bull Inn was perfect but tight for parking

We didn't actually visit the town of Royston and the Coach House Hotel is a bit off the beaten track but ideal for the Duxford Imperial War Museum and not too far from Audley End House, which was our main reason for choosing this hotel and the beautiful city of Cambridge is not too far away and a must see.

It looked a very pleasant place to visit with a nice park to wonder around in. The visit was for work so was too short to look around further.
Will probably go back and visit as part of a holiday in the future.

A beautiful old English town with character, great eating establishments.
I'm not sure it would be considered a tourist town; but I was there for the airshow at Duxford; so the location was perfect for me.

We were only here to visit our daughter in Addenbrookes Hospital and visit her home in Royston.
We had a nice meal in a Thai restaurant the evening before. But it’s a quiet town with very little to do.
Very comfortable accommodation, separate from the main pub. We stayed in a suite, which was just big enough for two adults and a toddler. The pull-out bed filled the living room once fully opened so a little difficult manoeuvring around. The bathroom was spacious and plenty of hot water. There is a kitchen with all mod cons, iron, ironing board etc.
The breakfast was amazing great produce and lots of it although we weren't asked our breakfast item choices
The hotel staff were helpful and friendly
The property was filthy and was full of mould. The toilet was blocked and no hot water. It hadn’t been cleaned for months there was dust webs all over the walls, dead flys in the sink. The smell hit you soon as you walked through the door I stopped 1 night and was straight out in the morning and been poorly since. Booking.com is so slow at investigating my claim and the hotel offered me 50% back. Please do not stay here for your own health. See pictures.
Our stay was great! The room was nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. The cooked breakfast was delicious- one of the best we’ve had recently. The hosts were really friendly. Good location from the centre of Royston, in walking distance - we were staying for a wedding nearby. Parking available outside for free. Bathroom was really clean and there was a separate toilet as well to the main bathroom so this wasn’t a problem.
The staff at this pub/hotel are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We met non-resident friends for dinner and it was excellent, we all enjoyed our meals. Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of it. The bedroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. There is a good TV. The bathroom was huge and we had a lovely walk-in shower. There is aircon in the room (room 7), which for a pub is pretty unusual and very welcome.
This was the worst experience ever.At the music festival in the hotel a fight broke out and police swarmed the hotel to bring the situation under control. We were doing B&B but were too petrified to continue our stay so booked out are wanting a one nights refund and despite booking.com requesting this we have heard nothing from the hotel..I am despairing and will take the matter to the financial ombudsman in the next week
All staff were super friendly and helpful the whole visit. Room was as advertised; lovely old building, with comfortable bathroom and bed. Breakfast was spot on everyday. Bar and pub food in restaurant were good standard. Hotel is in an excellent position in Royston; easy access through car park, and many local shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Local taxi drivers know the hotel.
We arrived early (11.30am) and with some thought by the lady cleaning the rooms, the hotel could offer us a very early check-in, which was appreciated as we had to change for a wedding.
Room decor was nice and Nespresso coffee was appreciated in the rooms.
The breakfast was good quality.
The location was fantastic close to the train station and the town of Royston, couldn't hear the trains though which was good. Communication about the key and how to get into the property including an issue with the main front door was superb. The flat was spotless and everything we needed
All in full English breakfast was excellent. Very old Hotel, possibly listed. This suggests that the Hotel may be quite cold in the Winter. (no double glazing). Staff mostly friendly, but could be more efficient.
