Great experience, went to see grandson in show, but decided to stay overnight. Great place to walk round, nice architecture and variety of shops - scotney castle 10 minutes away
One on the best places to eat from all places I’ve visited - the grill restaurant at the barn. Excellent food and great value, if I lived locally it would be weekly visit without a doubt.

Pleasant town for sight seeing.
Pleasant town for sight seeing. Good transport facilities by local transport. There are a reasonable number of eating places and the usual Coffee chains offering refrehments. The Pantiles is the usual visiting spot for small shops and antiques. There is a central Railway with connections all over the country. Has bus and taxi services too. There is a local library in the town centre with an interesting museum. There is an extensive shopping mall as well. There are some parks and some hills that could be explored, all near the centre of town

It is a very interesting town.
It is a very interesting town. There are many fascinating buildings dating from the Georgian period, including the Pantiles.
The shopping area, although small, has several quality outlets.
The general vibe of the town centre is very good especially at night.
Of course, Tunbridge Wells is set amongst beautiful Kent countryside.
A great place to visit.

Despite the early morning cleaners - the noise was intolerable and we could have done with a lie in, considering we didn’t have to check out until 11 - we left by 9! We only had one night booked but expected more . For the price, breakfast should have been included .

We stayed at this hotel over the weekend and we’re very pleased with everything we found there. A very clean, quirky, quiet hotel with great decor, very friendly polite staff and our room was perfect ( superior king room). The breakfast was great, hot and very tasty! I would highly recommend The mount edgecumbe hotel.

We were greeted at this lovely cottage conversion by our host, who explained where everything was and what to do in the event of anything not working or other questions. The exceptionally well equipped kitchen had everything we needed to cook an evening meal and breakfasts. The two single beds were very comfortable and wfi included was useful to find things to do and see.
The property is within a short walk of the Pantiles and the town, and is a good base for trips to many National Trust properties such as Chartwell.
The hotel has only just opened after lifted restrictions. They only offered Breakfast which we skipped- no room service, No restaurant or bar. We understand this will open on 23rd May.
No one on reception. We appreciate that we were there only one day after COVID restrictions being lifted, so we can’t really give a true picture of this hotel. We have lived in and around this area for many years so know this hotel well and once things show a little more reality I’m certain it will be s pleasing place to stay and visit
Having stayed here a few times, we knew what to expect and The Royal lived up to expectations.
The rooms are clean and comfortable and any small defect is addressed straight away.
Staff are friendly and helpful and always ready to offer assistance to those of use with mobility issues.
Thankfully there is no buffet at breakfast, your meal choice being freshly prepared and brought to your table.
Next time we're in the area, our first choice will be to stay at The Royal
Only the pleasant guy behind the desk at reception. The hotel is very rundown, and a terrible value. Wildly overpriced for what they offer. Bath did not have a shower. Lamps did not work. Room decor was not good. On top of that the famous Pantiles, which the hotel is a part of, were a low-rent disappointment, despite an okay Indian meal there. Avoid Royal Tunbridge Wells like the plague. It has zero to offer tourists.
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by country music and friendly staff in cowboy hats which isn’t the typical hotel experience in Tonbridge Wells but adds to its charm. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel room, lovely comfortable bed, big shower. Did the job for a place to stay for a wedding. The breakfast included was great. Close to most places, only 10-15 mins from station. Recommend!
I had a lovely stay for one night at the Spa Hotel. I really needed a rest and I got it. The room and bed were comfortable and the television was good quality and easy to operate. I didn't hear the other guests at all. paid £4.50 to have room service breakfast and it was worth it! I didn't use any other facilities. I can recommend this hotel.
I used to stay here a lot, but haven't been for three years - i.e. since Covid. The hotel has always been lovely, but I used to find the staff very inexperienced and not very polite - they have improved a lot and are much more as you would expect in what is a fairly luxury hotel. Generally a very nice experience.
All staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. William assisted carrying suitcases to our room as there are many stairs and no lift. Location is excellent, close to many options to eat out. Hotel dinner for the Pantiles Jazz night was delicious. Paid parking was easy and close by.
Truely wonderful in every way. Quiet location, walking distance to a lovely small town nearby. Free parking at the hotel. Small but beautiful room and by far the best breakfast we had during our stay in the UK. I would absolutely recommend this place.
this hotel is very good value given it’s very central location. it has parking when most town centre hotels don’t. the decor is very dated but the rooms are very clean, very comfortable and the staff very helpful.
Very good facilities ,location and ease of access to the centre of Tunbridge Wells , great menu, bar facilities .Friendly staff happy to help with all needs .
Great night spent at the hotel.

Cosy hotel in a great location. The room was very comfortable with fast wifi. I really liked the fact that breakfast is inclusive & the breakfast room is very large. Staff all friendly and helpful.
Room was much larger than expected, with nice decor. Very comfortable room. Enjoyed breakfast at the Hotel, which was included in my stay package. Liked the variety and healthy options offered.
