Free parking and a bar on site were positives as was the central location. The advert said that it was a larger than average room but including the bathroom it was no more than 13ft by 8 ft. There was no table or chairs so not a pleasant area to spend any time. The bottom of the outside of the shower had ingrained dirt.

Penrith town very nice and quaint! The locals were lovely - in the bars, hotel and on the streets. We visited Coniston lake and enjoyed it. Very pretty. nice cafe and food. boat trip very good. Went to see Arthur's Round Table! Delightful. Nice hotel for coffee opposite.

    Penrith is a lovely town.

Penrith is a lovely town. It has all the facilities you need such as supermarkets, bars and restaurants. I was impressed with the cleanliness too. It is an ideal place to stay in to explore The Lakes as well as castles nearby.

Nice buildings with lots of character.

Nice buildings with lots of character. No huge shops but loads of smaller varied places. The town was alive and generally well kept. Good range of eating places and some really good pubs. The town is not huge, so once there everything is easy to walk. It's not particularly hilly, though heading for the castle is uphill.

Penrith is a great little town close to Ullswater , plenty of restaurants and independent shops. The house itself is close to town centre and pay parking. Free street parking is available a short distance ( uphill) away.it is a lovely house for a family , well equipped and clean - books and games for adults and children. We are highly likely to stay again.

If you fancy homecooked Cumbrian food this is the place to stay and you will enjoy high qiuality raw matrerials used by an excellent cook. Very service minded staff, which is the couple that has converted their home into a B&B. Not the standard of a modern hotel but it clealry has its charm. Located in a quite street a short walk uphill from the town center. On the back side it is only a short walk to the forrest recreactional walking paths. A large garden is nice to be in if the weather allows.

When we arrived in Penrith, we had booked a hotel for the wrong date. Tracy was extremely accommodating letting us stay for the night in one of the best rooms she had available. The bathroom was absolutely beautiful and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional. Tracy again going above and beyond to make us comfortable welcome and meeting our requests. A fantastic day we would definitely come in again

Really great B&B. Friendly welcome, lovely room, comfy bed, and terrific full English Breakfast.. free WiFi (that worked well) lots of sockets, lovely shower and well located in the town centre for pubs and restaurants. This was a last minute panic booking, as my usual hotel was fully booked and I think I got a lower price than usual But would love to stay again next time I'm in Penrith even at full price.

Reception area and seating areas downstairs were welcoming and comfortable, with large sofas and open fireplaces. It had a really nice atmosphere. Bar and reception staff were friendly. Hotel has a good central location for exploring the beautiful Lake District - just a short walk into Penrith and a 10 minute drive from the Ullswater Steamer.
