First class hotel. Friendly helpful staff, beautiful, comfortable room and excellent food. We were driving south from Scotland to Liverpool to join a cruise ship, unfortunately due to bad weather conditions our itinerary was changed and we elected not to sail. I rang the hotel on our way back north and were delighted that they were able to give us the same room. Would definitely stay at Roundthorn again.

Free parking and a bar on site were positives as was the central location. The advert said that it was a larger than average room but including the bathroom it was no more than 13ft by 8 ft. There was no table or chairs so not a pleasant area to spend any time. The bottom of the outside of the shower had ingrained dirt.

Penrith town very nice and quaint! The locals were lovely - in the bars, hotel and on the streets. We visited Coniston lake and enjoyed it. Very pretty. nice cafe and food. boat trip very good. Went to see Arthur's Round Table! Delightful. Nice hotel for coffee opposite.

    Penrith is a lovely town.

Penrith is a lovely town. It has all the facilities you need such as supermarkets, bars and restaurants. I was impressed with the cleanliness too. It is an ideal place to stay in to explore The Lakes as well as castles nearby.

Nice buildings with lots of character.

Nice buildings with lots of character. No huge shops but loads of smaller varied places. The town was alive and generally well kept. Good range of eating places and some really good pubs. The town is not huge, so once there everything is easy to walk. It's not particularly hilly, though heading for the castle is uphill.

Penrith is a great little town close to Ullswater , plenty of restaurants and independent shops. The house itself is close to town centre and pay parking. Free street parking is available a short distance ( uphill) away.it is a lovely house for a family , well equipped and clean - books and games for adults and children. We are highly likely to stay again.

Alison is a great host; warm, welcoming and very helpful. The room was warm and clean, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night. There were a number of breakfast options, and the food was of a good quality and well cooked. The location is excellent, with a private parking area at the rear of the property. I could walk into the town centre in a few minutes and it was ideally suited to visit Potfest. The accommodation is very good value for the prices, and No 3 will be my first choice on future visits to Penrith.

When we arrived in Penrith, we had booked a hotel for the wrong date. Tracy was extremely accommodating letting us stay for the night in one of the best rooms she had available. The bathroom was absolutely beautiful and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional. Tracy again going above and beyond to make us comfortable welcome and meeting our requests. A fantastic day we would definitely come in again

Accommodations were comfortable and inviting. The decor presented a relaxed environment. There was a fresh bottle of still water waiting in the refrigerator. Instructions t access the apartment and parking location were easy to find. This apartment is located near everything you can imagine, food, shopping, casual walking areas, etc. Blackout curtains great for sleeping!

Station Hotel provided a good budget stopover for our Coast to Coast cycle ride. The room was basic but clean. They allowed us to store our bikes securely inside. Breakfast is not available but there is a Morrisons and Costa right across the road for provisions. It was quiet and we had a friendly welcome from the staff.
