The most popular Wales seaside resort, Llandudno covers a peninsula with 2 sandy coastlines. The North Shore’s wide Victorian promenade is lined with period buildings which now house seafront hotels and guest houses. The beach itself stretches all the way between the Little Orme and Great Orme headlands, passing an outdoor swimming pool.
A historic tram climbs to the peak of Great Orme, where Bronze Age copper mines can be visited. The top is also reachable by cable car from Happy Valley, a recreation area with gardens and an artificial ski slope.
A road runs around the base of the headland passing the historic Grand Hotel, a property available on Booking.com and overlooking the Grade II-listed pier – the longest in Wales. The West Shore is much less developed and the Maesdu Golf Course forms most of its shoreline.
Of course, Llandudno has its fair share of traditional seaside pursuits such as donkey rides and fish and chip shops.
The town also has a modern retail park near the train station and Venue Cymru event centre, and wrought-iron canopies shade smaller shops along Mostyn Avenue, Broadway and Street. The latter - Mostyn Street - is effectively the high street and becomes brightly decorated during the Victorian carnival in May.

It is a small area, easy to get around on the whole, some steep roads. Lots around and easy transport links to visit other local areas. Trip on the tram should be a must, adult return was £10.50. At the top are spectacular views, a cafe, I had a hot soup and a roll for £3.95. There is also a visitor center, small wildflower garden, crazy golf, children's play area up there too. You can also walk down To The mine or around the orme area The little church and Graveyard are very interesting too. As it was a very cold and windy day when I went I did do any walking.
There are plenty of pubs/bars to suit any and all tastes and lots of different restaurants /takeaway, during the day there are a lot of cafes to choice from. There is also a Alice in wonderland trail, you can get maps from the tourist info center located in the shopping g centre, I will definitely be returning on a warmer day.

Llandudno is a lovely place to visit/stay, always clean and people very pleasant, there's a good choice of pubs, restaurants to cater for different cuisines, cafes and plenty of shops, also a large retail park. The great orme has a tram to get you to the top if needed and a road up if driving, there's a copper mine to visit half way which is very interesting and the views if clear are great and a visitor centre with all local information. There's a ski slope and toboggan type ride around the slope, there's a bus ride around the orme with commentary which is really good, a walk along the pier leads to a bar and cafe, a lovely stroll! The promenade is wide and a walk or cycle takes from great orme to little orme, watch out for seagulls if eating ice cream or chips etc whilst walking. Llandudno has two beaches, north shore and west shore, the west has the larger sand area and is a short walk or quick drive or just hop on a bus, everywhere in Llandudno is within easy walking distance for most people or a mobility scooter can be hired, there are a few amusement arcades so all ages are catered for. My wife and I have been visiting Llandudno for 56 years and we have relations living here or near to who moved to this area of Wales some years ago.

Llandudno is a beautiful and very well kept seaside town.
It has a lovely promenade, a Victorian Pier and there are great walks around the Great Orme, where there is a ancient copper mine, there is also a cable car, tram and bus service to get to the summit of the Orme.

Comfortable, spacious and clean. Close to both main promenade and also West Shore. Dog friendly as well. Bed very comfortable and the bedroom is a great size. We were able to park directly outside the apartment which was helpful. Communication from the owner was good with any questions answered promptly.
Have stayed in some fab hotels in Llandudno ..St George's, The Merrion, The Imperial to name a few however in terms of value for money - this apartment is great especially when you compare it against what else you could get for that price.
Lovely hotel. Very welcoming. The room and hotel were very clean. We had a sea view room which was really nice. The breakfast was delicious and great that it was served buffet style so you could help yourself. Good selection of cereals, fruit, drinks and cooked breakfast. There is free parking available however we just parked on the main road and reasonable cost to park there. Handy for the shops and pier and a lovely on site bar. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit llandudno

Many thanks for a lovely stay.
The Winchmore Hotel is right on the seafront in Llandudno, with a fabulous view of the bay from the sea view rooms, and only a few minutes walk from the town centre, the pier or the local theatre, Venue Cymru. The hotel's staff were, without exception, delightful - friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet and the breakfasts were very good.
Great hotel great service and location,, staff and management look after you and take care of your needs, the addition of the continental breakfast was great a good selection to choose from, easy access for disabled and a lift to all floors with parking at the rear, selection of rooms with sea views over Llandudno Bay.
We love Llandudno and often visit for an overnight or weekend stay, the location of the hotel is perfect, and sea view rooms are lovely. The staff are always pleasant and friendly, although the request of photo ID to book in is a tad over the top, in my opinion.
Good breakfast with lots of options and the staff were also great. Room was good overlooking the sea. Parking was easy and on site. Fairly small and cosy hotel. Exactly what you'd expect from a seaside hotel. All in all a great stay in Llandudno.
We booked a family room & it was fantastic!! 1 double bed & 3 singles. 1 of the beds could be separated by pulling a curtain across.
