The most popular Wales seaside resort, Llandudno covers a peninsula with 2 sandy coastlines. The North Shore’s wide Victorian promenade is lined with period buildings which now house seafront hotels and guest houses. The beach itself stretches all the way between the Little Orme and Great Orme headlands, passing an outdoor swimming pool.
A historic tram climbs to the peak of Great Orme, where Bronze Age copper mines can be visited. The top is also reachable by cable car from Happy Valley, a recreation area with gardens and an artificial ski slope.
A road runs around the base of the headland passing the historic Grand Hotel, a property available on Booking.com and overlooking the Grade II-listed pier – the longest in Wales. The West Shore is much less developed and the Maesdu Golf Course forms most of its shoreline.
Of course, Llandudno has its fair share of traditional seaside pursuits such as donkey rides and fish and chip shops.
The town also has a modern retail park near the train station and Venue Cymru event centre, and wrought-iron canopies shade smaller shops along Mostyn Avenue, Broadway and Street. The latter - Mostyn Street - is effectively the high street and becomes brightly decorated during the Victorian carnival in May.
The staff where excellent, but facilities where few.

I would definitely not advise disabled people to use it. The stairs at the front entrance are lethal plus they only had WiFi in certain parts of the hotel, usually near reception. Nothing in the rooms. There was no entertainment till the summer. The hotel itself was very comfortable but these little things spoiled our stay.

Llandudno wasn't our first choice but that's where we ended up going and on arrival immediately felt it was a good choice. The long sweeping sea front, plenty of shops, bars and cafes. It still holds on to its charm of yesteryear. The pier and tram ride up the Orme are popular. A good range of accommodation to suit most pockets. Could happily have stayed longer than our 3 nights and would happily visit again.

I love walking up the Great Orme, its tough going but the views are amazing,
The town has plenty of choice for bars and restaurants, LCs Bar, Fountain Bar, The Mediterranean Restaurant, The Taverna, The Casanova, The Cottage Loaf, to name a few. The town is also clean and has a good choice of shops...The Range, River Island, Primark, Marks and Spencers all within walking distance from main street.

I love Llandudno.
I love Llandudno. The North beach is touristy, with hotels and the pier. The West beach is not touristy at all. They are close, so visitors can easily take their pick or do both.
The Great Orme is one of the best places to go with far-reaching views. We love it up there.
The town itself has lovely wide streets with plenty of free parking. It is flat and easy to walk around. There are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Scenery is beautiful with lots to do and Chester zoo isn’t too far way plus there’s the pier lots of shops nearby and the tram ride to the top of the Great Orme and the copper mines. 🙂
We ate in our hotel and there’s not much I would avoid except to say be careful if you drive up to the top of the great Orme as the roads are narrow and a bit treacherous if you have to reverse to let another vehicle past ☹️
Breakfast buffet had everything you would want for good English/Welsh breakfast. Hotel location close to the beach with great sea views, close enough to walk to Llandudno pier and to the vast amount of shops in and around the town centre. Many eating places and Venue Cymru provides theatre entertainment. The hotel staff made us feel a part of the family extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was warm and comfortable and our en suite was a wet room. Will return one day, for now just like to say hello to Coco.
The staff were brilliant.
The lady at reception (I didn't get her name unfortunately but I think maybe she was Spanish) really made us feel like VIPs...so welcoming and supportive. She helped us with parking and, as we arrived a couple of hours before check-in, allowed us to use the pool facilities whilst our room was prepared.
We booked last minute and the hotel was obviously with coach parties, but we were given a fantastic room with double-aspect windows with fantastic views of the seafront and pier.
Tyndale Hotel is one, if not my favorite hotel, in all of England. The environment is cozy, and the staff makes you feel welcome and at home, they always had the best attitude and were very helpful. The food is delicious (I ate some pancakes that tasted like a warm Sunday morning), and the rooms are clean and spacious. My mom and I had the best time at this place, and when we come back to Llandudno, this will be the place we return to.
The Glan Y Mor was a lovely hotel.
Very clean and comfy and very peaceful.
Just as we like it.The view was very good too.
Rob n Sue were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. You felt so welcomed.
Their breakfasts were really good, probably the best we've had in all the hotels we've stayed at.
It's the first time we've stayed in Llandudno too. It was just so picturesque and clean.
Definitely a return on the cards.
Nice comfy , spotlessly clean room with view of the sea and North Promenade. Helpful friendly staff. Room wasn’t ready when we arrived early for check in at 12.30pm but we were able to leave luggage behind reception desk. Excellent location & value for money. Nice breakfast, however disappointing no Cornflakes available & due to the layout of hotel people were passing by our table with their luggage whilst we ate breakfast.
First time visitors to the Imperial, Llandudno and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was very comfortable, clean and spacious with a side sea view 😃. The breakfast was very tasty with lots of choice as well as catering for alternative dietary needs. The staff in all areas of the hotel were friendly and responded quickly to our request to change the dressing gowns in the room which had clearly shrunk in the wash.
Location was fabulous, we had a lovely room looking out over the pier.
Property owners very lovely and very welcoming from the first moment we met them,.
Good choice for breakfast and was delicious.
All areas in Hotel Very clean and very well presented.
Helpful with parking our car.
Bay Court would be our first choice again when visiting Llandudno.
Our stay was fantastic, nice and clean hotel, good staff, great view, fantastic breakfast, and very close proximity to good places. Llandudno itself is a paradise on earth.

Absolutely stunning bay views from my room, it was that octagon shaped room facing the rock on which the Grand Hotel is built. Sea was literally a few meters below my windows, and i enjoyed so much watching it and listening to it after all-day-long walks. And hey, all this was just for £30/night! I love Llandudno and the Grand Hotel!
It is a lovely chilled hotel, very clean and the beds are so comfortable. Friendly staff too. Good choices for breakfast . We opted for the full English but the scrambled egg with salmon looked really nice. We will definitely be back as it is the nicest hotel we have stayed in,in Llandudno. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Great Location with great views. I really nice comfortable and clean apartment right in the heart of Llandudno.
Recommend going to the nearby cafe The Loaf. We went for breakfast and it was excellent! .
We also had a lovely meal in the sea view hotel bar and grill, excellent service, lovely food and good value.
We had a sea view room and it was excellent as overlooked Llandudno. When we arrived asked the staff if we could park up early so we can have a look around prior to check in time and the staff were wonderful and supported us with parking. We had the triple room and would recommend ad this is really spacious
Great hotel, staff , owner all wonderful no complaints at all,
breakfast just right everything you wanted, clean comfy room, and
the location 5 minutes from the beach. the owner Selina was A+
as well as the staff, definitely will be staying there again..5 stars....
Overall, the hotel is tired but the bed was clean and comfortable and the en suite was clean with a decent shower. Good value for money on Llandudno seafront. A small breakfast was even available, which I thought was generous for the price I paid.
I really like this hotel the sea view is amazing, breakfast good restaurant team always do a great job, lift out of order , no gas for the fizzy drinks and that creaky floor but it's still good value for money so we will be back soon
The hotel is just by the beach. The best location I have ever been near sea side. The room was very big and super comfortable. The sea view from the room was just amazing. I will definitely recommend everyone.
Excellent.....Best hotel I've stayed in, in llandudno very courteous staff......the staff at the "grand hotel " should take lessons from the staff here will definitely return
Very clean room
