The town of Kendal is great and this flat is well located to access the town centre etc.
I was disappointed with my accommodation as a very poorly equipped kitchen, poor water pressure in kitchen sink, tacky decor and bizarre unintelligible smart door handles.

Kendal has lots to offer visitors and is an ideal place to stay, away from the crowds in the central Lakes. Lots of walking accessible by good public transport, avoids taking the car and trying to find somewhere to park. Plenty of shops and places to eat, especially Corner 124 where you can enjoy an excellent meal.

Although Kendal was not the most picturesque of the towns we visited in the Lake District (the competition is stiff), it still had a lot of charm and no shortage of good shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés. It made an excellent base for seeing the Lake District on public transport. We arrived by rail in late October and used Stagecoach buses for the duration of our stay. The buses were clean, comfortable and reliable, with charging points on the buses. The bus network was very easy to use, with the option to buy tickets and get bus times through the Stagecoach app.

Everything was just fine nice comfy bed.
Everything was just fine nice comfy bed. Rooms clean and tidy the owner was Very helpful. Been an elderly person she was very empathetic towards me.If you find stairs a problem this accommodation is on the first floor.
Yvonne was extremely kind, friendly and keen to help. She supplied an additional small heater as the weather during my stay was bitterly cold and the room, although small, took a long time to warm up (I suspect some heat was lost via the large single glazed window). The useful information about Kendal that Yvonne supplied was very thoughtful. Unfortunately the activity that brought me to the area for the weekend was disrupted by snow so I ended up spending far more time in my room than I’d anticipated.
My stay in Days Inn was very comfortable and the hotel was very clean. Staffs were so helpful and friendly. Room was well maintained. All needed stuffs was in place and staffs were there to help all the time. Especially, One of the staff (Joe) was very good and professional, also explained everything perfectly for our comfortable stay in Days Inn. Will definitely choose Days Inn if I'm visiting Kendal again.... 😃♥️.... Thank you so much for the all the tema members
Beautiful hotel with lots of character, really comfy and cosy room decor with lots of small touches. Amazing views of the fields and mountains, perfect location for Windemere and Kendal. Lovely bar and breakfast area with balcony overlooking the views, and a serve yourself type bar. The bed was large and soft, smart TV with Netflix etc, rooms quiet and dark. Full English breakfast was quick and well cooked. Overall a really peaceful stay.
The Riverside never lets us down. We've stayed in the hotel so many times we have lost count. This time, we arrived 2 hours prior to book in time due to the snow and having to book at the last minute as we couldn't get home. The staff accommodated us, making sure we were looked after and our room was ready early. The best hotel in Kendal town centre for sure.
My wife and I arrived and felt immediately welcomed by Keith and Phil.
The views from the veranda where you had a drink and had breakfast was nothing short of spectacular.
The room was spacious, clean with lovely furniture. (which carried on throughout the hotel)
The bathroom was again spacious, very high spec and lovely walk in shower.
Central location of the 2 bed apartment in Kendal was ideal. Close to shops, bars and restaurants. Master bedroom was huge with a separate sitting room joined. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the open plan living dining area and the entire apartment is very tastefully decorated. Cooking facilities and fridge came in very handy.
The location is very suitable for driving and is just next to the main road leading to Kendal. The hotel is situated next to a farm shop and surrounded by green pastures. The staff are very friendly, and pets are welcome. The restaurant is amazing, and source local produce for the food and beverages.
Hotel well located, just south of Kendal town centre. Ample parking. Friendly and attentive staff.
Spacious and well appointed room. Good breakfast, in choice and quality.
Dining limited to selection from the a la carte menu of the day; a little pricey, but of excellent quality.
Such helpful and friendly staff. Great food, reasonably priced in the pet friendly pub restaurant. Close to the main shopping area with free parking. Comfortable beds and nice big towels. Just a really nice experience and excellent value.
Friendliness and personal touch you just don’t get at big hotels. I loved that Pauline asked our kids what their favourite colours were and tried to give them that colour for cutlery at breakfast!
The room was really big, nicely decorated with a settee and tv. The location was perfect for us as we arrived by train and you can see the hotel from the train station so not far to walk at all.
The location was quite nice - a 10 minute taxi ride from Oxenholme station or a 10 minute walk from Kendal station. It was quite easy to check ourselves in - the instructions were very clear.
A nice hotel close to the centre of Kendal, the room was very small but had everything you required for a one night stay.
Good car parking facilities across from the hotel.
Location in the centre of Kendal was ideal. Large comfortable beds and an excellent welcome pack. The large lounge provided a really good meeting area for the four of us
Good location for getting around Kendal/windermere/ingleton. Nice sized room and good, free parking at hotel. It also accommodates dogs which is a bonus.
