Beautiful are of West Yorkshire lots of character and charm. The Piece Hall is a spectacular piece of history and Architecture which, is being preserved by the trustees imaginative use of the grand space. Shopping, eateries, bars, seasonal events and entertainment. And, now it’s hosting some big name bands and doing really well. Lots of little market towns (Think - last of the summer wine) & historically rich in and around Halifax Town. Lots to do for entertainment if you visit

Supposed to be secured front door only access was a code provided but on arrival doors were open. On message to property they said they will get engineer out as no body as told them. That was not true as we met another guy staying at property and said he had told them several times.
Floor boards up in room letting in slugs and again told them and they said sorry and thanks for letting them know as first time this as happened, again not true as read other reviews.

Halifax has a wide range of shops, pubs and fun things to do. Everything is fairly close together and there's plenty of places to park your car. There's a great choice of places to eat from the big names such as McDonalds, Burger King, KFC as well as some more independent eateries, including a Greek restaurant. Halifax town centre also has a cinema, mini golf, the famous Piece Hall which often has live music, markets and more.

The Piece Hall was great to tour round with lots of individual shops and places to eat & drink.
The Minster is interesting & worth viewing and there is a reasonable shopping centre.
At the moment there are lots of road works which for an outsider quite difficult to negotiate.

there is plenty to do and see in Halifax from the Peace Hall to Urika and that is only a few mins walk from the town.
If you wish for lively night then I sugest the town centre on a friday or saturday and you can fill ya boots with booze. but if you prefer a quiet time then take a walk and there is plenty of them to discover
Jackie the manager was amazing. Really welcoming and nothing was too much bother for her.
The hotel is a pub but its not noisy and guests can take drinks to their rooms.
My wife has mobility problems and so were ground floor right next to the pub but you couldn't hear any noise. We had a wet room so easy access for my wife to shower.
Even had beds that my wife could raise the feet end or we could caise the head end! Room was full accessible for wheelchair users.
Perfect location for us to explore Halifax and Howarth
The property has been nicely decorated and is well fitted-out. The owner was very helpful with sending me the access code ahead of time and making sure I had gained access successfully etc. The location was excellent for the town centre and attractions like Piece Hall. The lounge and kitchen looked to be well-equipped, though I didn't make use of these. Compared to hotel prices at that time (December), this was an absolute bargain.
Had a fantastic 2 night stay at the New Hobbit. The staff were so friendly, always happy to have a chat, take interest in your reason for visiting Halifax and to suggest places and walks of interest. The food choices were excellent, something for everyone, all served in a lovely bar/restaurant. The size of my room, in the main hotel, was large, decorated beautifully and very clean.
I loved the location. Set in a quiet part of Halifax two minutes from the town centre. The staff were friendly and polite. I had a single room which was exceptional. The bathroom was large with bath and shower. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very good value for money and I would definitely stay here again. I would Highley recommend this hotel.
.anything , i couldn't entry . they said i didn't show . i was there , i called them , then they didn't take my calls or answer messages . they didn't tell me the house number . i had to sleep in one of my friends places . i've got probes and wittinesses. i lived three years in halifax. i know the town and i lived in the same street
5 star British Hotel experience with exceptional Carribean cuisine and attentive team. Highly recommend!
Literally 1road from the station!
The suite even came with Ren Skincare (very nice touch) and the rum punch is addictive. Delicious curry goat falls off the bone, with lovely portion of rice, slaw and plantain.
It's a lovely location.
The staff very welcoming and friendly.
We had a very quiet room, as requested.
Enjoy a lovely evening meal, joined by family. Just perfect.
Definitely will revisit.
Handy for The Piece Hall in Halifax and Shebden House, which we visited for the first time the following day.
Everything was great. The room was very clean and comfortable and we had a balcony with a terrific view overlooking Halifax. The communication was excellent and the instructions for the key safe were spot on. Excellent parking.
Good value, passably OK town centre hotel, great for an overnight stay in Halifax. Parking by permit in a separate car park (c. 150m away, across the main road). Desk staff polite and helpful. All as expected for the price.
An excellent town apartment.
Well positioned for everything you may need in Halifax.
Spacious, bright and homely.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you may need.
Good shower with plenty of hot water.
Room was lovely and absolutely spotless. Comfy bed and plenty towels and good tea/coffee options. Really close to a bus stop in/out of Halifax - it doesn't run late but handy for daytime.
The location was excellent, easy walking distance to all locations in the center of Halifax. Host was available for questions. Nice to have a refrigerator and cooking ability.
Friendly, professional and all members of staff ensured our stay was comfortable and relaxing.
Food excellent .
Very clean accommodation.
