The staff were all amazing and very friendly with our dog - even bringing her a sausage at breakfast in the mornings. The food was absolutely delicious. A great choice of continental and cooked food on offer at breakfast. We ate our evening meals there both nights as well - delicious.
The room was clean, it has a kettle with a tea tray (including biscuits and a bottle of water). No carpet in the room but that is better with it being dog friendly. No fridge, but we had brought a mini one with us for medication and our dogs food.
Will definitely look to stay there again next time we are up that way.
This stunning mansion set in 4 acres of award-winning gardens is located on the edge of the Nothhumbrian countryside, yet only 10 minutes' drive from the Newcastle city center.

Gateshead is great for shopping, restaurants etc with Newcastle city and access to Baltic and Glasshouse (formerly Sage) easy . Unfortunately the public transport for me was extremely disappointing and erratic with little incentive to reduce car usage. Ok, they have rush hours like most cities in UK but waiting 1.5 hours on Friday night for a single bus from the terminus that was cancelled every 30 minutes without explanation or apology is totally acceptable!. I wasted a full two hours trying to get from city to hotel in Gateshead and almost gave in to a cab as many other passengers had done. I was determined to keep my carbon footprint intact but it left me livid. If this government want us to leave our cars behind they need to level things up far far better!

Very huge spawling and faceless decrepit 70s building towers. Some areas looked run down and dodgy not a place to be late at night.
Maybe there were some prettier areas but in the time we had we didn't find any.
Thd old part 5 mins away was pretty with old country estates, parks and nice restaurants.

Rang hotel to let them know i'm disabled and dont handle stairs very well so switched to a ground floor room. There is a staff lift which they will let you use if needed. Also dont be conned by local taxis, they told us pub near hotel had a late bar but it didnt and on returning to hotel staff told us 24/7 bar for residents as night watch keeper would get you drinks if after hours. Loads of staff around when we got back after 12am as there had been a wedding function there and they were resetting the place for the morning. No problems at all very clean hotel and breakfast was spot on too.

We were visiting The Sage in Gateshead for a Brit Floyd concert, but Newcastle just a short walk over the Millennium Bridge, which is a lovely city and quaint quayside Sunday market. Later walked back and up into Gateshead. Don't know the area but didn't seem much to see compared to Newcastle so just assumed Newcastle is the larger city. It was getting dark as well and everything closed, didn't see many restaurants open. We did find a Wetherspoons and had dinner in there. Preferred Newcastle which was vibrant by comparison. It was a short walk through to Gateshead though and maybe we'd have discovered more if we'd had more time there.

Gateshead and the surrounding area has a massive range of things to see and do and all within a short distance. For instance, on our visit and in one day, we visited 'The Angel of the North', 'Marsden Grotto' (superb place indeed), North Shields the 'Pedestrian/Cycle Tunnel, the 'Barbour' outlet and the Tyne Tunnel as a very small selection.

Brilliant location the Hotel looks like hotels i have stayed in in mainland Europe Italy Austria & Southern Germany the food and room was splendid i would of liked to stay longer as my stay was only 4 one night.
I highly recomend this hotel & restrant.
Booked very late due to short notice work trip in Gateshead . Having had to drive from Devon to Edinburgh then onto the Angel I was exhausted & hungry. Greeted by the manager / owner I have to say extremely welcoming very professional chap. Loved my room nice to be in a warm room & compared to some places I have stayed it was exceptionally clean with everything I needed . Had a carvery which was very nice
The property was in a good location. Plenty of off road parking. Beautiful building and nice ambiance. The staff were all professional but really friendly and all appeared to enjoy working together. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities were adequate. The meals in the hotel were outstanding, both the evening meal and breakfast were really tasty.
Lovely restaurant attached to the hotel with some good variety on the menu. Our evening meal was delicious and fairly priced. Breakfast was also well presented and good value. We saw a small deer crossing the car park late in the afternoon, making its way up the wooded hill at the back of the property, so a bit of wildlife spotting to round off the day.
I booked this hotel for the location and the good quality that I have experienced before. Unfortunately, in my excitement of an event, I booked this hotel twice without realizing. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, courteous and kind about the error and within 12 hours they cancelled the double booking and cleared the invoice.
Plenty of free parking, rooms are set back from the restaurant/road so are quiet and are clean. Bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the food is good and reasonably priced. Its a bit out from Newcastle/Gateshead but both are easy enough to get too by car.
I love the location of the Bowes Incline. Down a single track road just off the A1. Close to Angel of the North. Gateshead and the metro centre, food portions are good value but huge, staff are so friendly and engaging.rooms are perfect, bathroom is good size exceptional shower.
Absolutely wonderful hotel. The staff were so very helpful. Impeccably clean room. Iron board and hairdryer provided in the room. . Breakfast was delicious. Parking wasn't a problem. Metro centre is only 5 mins away by car. Restaurants on the doorstep. Highly recommended.
Cosy, quiet hotel with friendly staff, nice big car park free of charge which is great too!
Nice location near to the metro centre gateshead and not too far either to the city centre by car (Uber is fairly cheap from the hotel to city centre when we went)
The staff and owner were so great, incredibly kind and accommodating. The whole place had a lovely atmosphere and everyone went above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after. I couldn't recommend a hotel more!
Excellent effort made to provide a fully vegan breakfast - much appreciated. The room was lovely, clean and spacious, and surprisingly quiet given the main road location of the hotel.
The staff were polite and friendly. The room was really comfortable and warm. The local bus was able to take us into Gateshead or Newcastle, so the location was really good.
Park Farm have nailed the hotel experience. Great communication. Really good rooms and hassle free stay. Exactly what I needed for my stay near Newcastle. Great price too.
