The hotel was great the harbour area was nice the hotel was a good way from town centre and railway station and there’s lack of a supermarket down by the harbour but there are some nice shops and restaurants in the harbour area some of them are expensive

We stayed in hythe. It was beautiful. Lower leas coastal park was great for adults and children. We visited broknell Park which was a lovely walk. The town in hythe was worth the visit with boutique shops.

Folkestone has reasonable shopping facilities for a small town. It is close to some very beautiful areas of Kent, like the Elham Valley. It has excellent train service on the high speed trains from London Canterbury is about 45 minutes drive away and well worth a visit. If you enjoy walking in scenic countryside Folkestone is surrounded by it. The town is hilly and getting down to the harbour means negotiating a fairly steep gradient, so might be less enjoyable or more challenging for people with mobility problems. There is a bus service. There are restaurants, pubs, places to eat out but if you're on a budget there is an Asda, a Sainbury and a Lidl store in the town centre where you can buy food. There is a good bus service to Dover and to Canterbury.

Folkestone is amazing and always has a lot going on with live music and entertainment. The Christmas market and good yard facilities on the harbour arm are great. Pubs on the Stade are good. The Old High Street very quaint and lots of places to eat.

My room had a bay window, lots of light and plenty of space. The rooms in the hotel were open and inviting too. The owner is very organised and good at explaining the where and how of the hotel and what was nearby. It was a short walk into town and the main shops and supermarkets yet far enough away from it to be quiet and residential Nice food for breakfast - lots f information about ingredients and so on.

The Gentleman on Reception called Mark was very helpful & polite. I would say Mark is the nicest person I've met on a Reception desk. We paid extra to upgrade our room, and we was extremely happy with our upgrade. The hotel is very lovely and clean, with great staff. I've been coming to Folkestone for years, and I didn't even know this hotel existed. I will definitely be coming back to stay at this hotel.

This is an old-fashioned hotel. A brutalist-style classic. Do not expect bijou, artisan, boutique, or luxury. Do expect charming staff, ridiculously cheap prices, eat as much as you like breakfast, and wonderful views. Also, you'll be in the best location in Folkestone, no competition. And you can enjoy a Butlins style cabaret and disco bingo if you're drunk enough.

I booked a single basic room but hotel upgraded me to a premier room overlooking the harbour. Amazing view of sunrise over the white cliffs of Dover. The cabaret in the bar area was excellent very good George Micheal tribute singer and comedian! Would recommend asking for room with a view of Folkestone harbour.

Fabulous location, close to beach, shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is lovely, and the staff are so helpful. We didn't eat at the hotel this time, but we tried the cocktails which were gorgeous. The airshow was on when we were there and we had a perfect view of the planes flying over.

Thank you, I liked the hotel, the location eg within minutes walking distance of Folkstone Cetral train station, and the room comfort levels and private facilities; fantastic for a solo traveller, and a part time student as I had some space to read and study.

The hotel was under refurbishment with scaffolding and temp work everywhere. This meant brick dust everywhere and we were woken at 8:00am by heavy banging from construction workers.
