Attractive small town with much to see and do. Good range of shops, pubs and eateries all in a lovely valley setting. Good food options with take-aways, cafes, pubs, hotels and a few restaurants.
Good access generally but busy pavements when it is really crowded in the Summer.
Local.s generally welcoming and friendly. This is a clean little town that is attractive and well maintained.
Plenty to do if you enjoy walking and exploring...including some well maintained river walks - but flat land is at a premium.
There IS parking... but you often have to search for it!

Amazingly relaxing time and a pleasure to meet the Tyn-y-Coed staff - nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay.
The food and drink choices were exceptional and the log fire was a perfect backdrop to the bar and lounge.
And best of all, the location is stunning and a perfect base for our trip.
We'll be back for sure.

It's a small cottage in a beautiful location.
It's a small cottage in a beautiful location. Kitchen is tiny but perfectly adequate. Dishes are lovely. Washer, no dryer. No internet access, which is great if you're trying to get away from stress of work! Didn't receive reply to emails once we arrived, but they mY have been away. Short drive to betws y coed, which has the typical shops including an outdoor store where you can buy camping towels, if you didnt bring your own! and great food, and a wonderful hike up to a lake.

Betws y Coed is a beautiful, busy Victorian town with many scenic attractions such as waterfalls, and forest walks. Plenty of outdoor clothing & equipment shops and cafes & restaurants. The gardens and public areas are well maintained. It can get very busy at peak times and parking can be challenging. There is a wide range of accommodation from cheap bunkhouses to quality hotels.

Great place to stay if exploring that part of Wales.
Great place to stay if exploring that part of Wales. Car is pretty essential. Service very good, the owner is a character and all the staff were great, very helpful and attentive. Food at the pub is really good quality, i ate here every night and enjoyed the atmosphere (I was travelling alone). Room and external private bathroom were great. Pretty close to Snowdon, which is a must to hike up. I also took my bike and did an 80 mile ride around this area of North Wales. Absolutely stunning. Would come back here in future I enjoyed it that much.

We have visited many times before & love the area.
We have visited many times before & love the area. A wide variety of shops. A mini train. Waterfalls to visit. Lots of beautiful walks. Close to snowdon, Anglesey, Portmeirion and many other interesting places to enjoy.
Hotel location very close to the village centre with church nearby (nice to hear the bells). breakfast was very nice served in the room itself caused by covid restrictions, room was clean with hair-dryer, kettle and plenty of tea/coffee supply. Julie & Tony were really accommodating - prepared a take-away breakfast for us to have on our trip to the top of Snowdon. Really loved the whole area around the hotel and had a great time. Would recommend to everyone. Thank you very much for everything
The property was just outside of the village with a short walk to local restaurants and hotels/pubs. We were able to leave car outside at the property. Gary & Jackie were fantastic hosts and gave us plenty of help with things to do in the area. Also as a bonus, the bus stop for our ride on the S1 bus to Snowdon was 20 yards from the front door. We had a great weekend, the breakfast was awesome too!
Bryn Llewelyn`s a lovely property located in a lovely village in Wales. The room`s tidy and clean while our breakfast`s tasty which give us enough energy for that day to climb to top of highest mountain nearby called Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)
Staff of hotel Sarah and Ben are kind and helpful people. Even they sent for us my littlebig son`s baseball hat by mail which we left at the scene...
Thanks you :)
The room and bed was comfortable, and there is plenty of space in the facility. For a hostel, the room had more hotel like facilities with tea and coffee etc. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was very good with plenty on offer. Its a good start to the day. Also the dining area is spacious
There are some really comfortable chairs which you can relax in after a long day
Hotel is central to Bettws-y-Coed area and Snowdonia Comfortable bed pristine white linen and towels
Friendly staff nothing too much trouble Welsh breakfast set you up for the day, Evening meal was large and nicely cooked everything was priced reasonable . Dog friendly too enjoyed our stay & hope to be back soon
Excellent location, hotel team friendly and helpful and the food was great too. The welcome packs for our two dogs were a very nice touch and very much appreciated. Good to see a place that understands what dog friendly means as opposed to being accepting of dogs. Big difference…
Dinner at their restaurant was fantastic. (But hard to get a reservation--book early.) They're very attentive to the Covid guidelines. The hotel is located in the middle of everything--near to pubs and also great hiking options. Free parking behind the church was reliable.
Dave was a fantastic, warm, and friendly host. Breakfast was delicious, and there were several options to choose from. The hotel decor was quirky, bright and fun and the setting is of course beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone travelling near the area.
The staff were so welcoming. The room was massive and the bed was BIG. The bathroom was also amazing with a big corner bath and a downpour shower. The food was nice and the breakfast was excellent. We’ll definitely be returning to the Royal Oak Hotel.
Pool and jacuzzi facilities was excellent. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel room was very clean and comfortable with a small patio area. Hotel breakfast was excellent and the hotel was close to all local attractions.
Very lovely house with everything you need. 5mns from Betws y coed which is the cutest village around. A good supermarket is 10mns away at Lanwst.
Host was nice, helpful and responsive.
Quiet house and nice fire place.
I regard myself as a 'regular' at Craig y Dderwen. I am a native, born not so far away from Betws y Coed. The hotel is exceptionally good by any standard, and the welcome always terrific. The dining ditto.
Excellent location to explore Snowdonia. Staff working hard (with Covid rules). Dog friendly. Dog-walk friendly (1 minute walk from the hotel to reach the park). Betws-y-coed is a very nice town.
Located a bit out of Betws-y-coed (5 minutes walk), surrounded by loads of calming green, excellent food to choose from, very friendly service by Alison and Steve. Defo will book again
A lovely hotel in a superb setting with plenty of car parking available. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
