The town situated within the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland. There are beautiful views of all the mountains, forests and lakes. Not far from the legendary Loch Ness, it's hard to spot a monster. Amazing fogs.

It was very snowy when I arrived on Christmas day and the town was quiet. Its a pleasant place and a great stop off point to explore the area. It has plenty of cafes and restaurants, as well as shops to keep folk happy. But its real beauty is in the welcome and the access to the surrounding areas.

the journey to Cairngorm is worthwhile and there are many attractions on the Rothiemuchs Estate

Aviemore is the ideal base from which to discover the Cairngorms. The town itself has everything you could possibly need to an active stay in the mountains as any time of year and some decent eateries.

Aviemore has numerous shops and excellent eating establishments, had the best fish&chips at Smiffys and a beef steak pie to die for at the Balavoulin, and excellentvisit to Giovannis in the resort. Landmark is only minutes away and is a must to visit. The resort has a fantastic swimming pool for residents, my grandsons got excellent use of it. The Highlands Hotel would be my preferred stay if I go again. There's a theatre, cinema..which we used, very nice and helpful staff
Stayed in lots more expensive hotels during our last minute holiday In Scotland but this was by far one of the cheapest and best.
Owners were super nice and helpful, the hotel room was clean, room were spacious and full of light with modern furniture.
It’s in a great location on the main High street but away from the noise.
Definitely going to reserve the family room next time in aviemore.
Thanks for a lovely stay, totally recommend to everyone and avoid the silly prices around.
This was a good place to explore the nearby area, which was what we wanted. Even though the bathrooms or one bedroom are on the smaller side, they were perfectly functional and we enjoyed our stay there. It was pleasant to sit in the living room in the evening or on the little terrace after lunch when the sun finally came out. I cooked our meals and the kitchen was equipped with everything I needed. It was a great place for the three nights we had in Aviemore.
The apartment is new, absolutely spotless, and very well equipped. It is also in an excellent location. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. I would definitely recommend High Range Lodge Hotel to anyone looking for lovely clean and comfortable accommodation in Aviemore.
Hotel was lovely, right in the heart of Aviemore, firework display at the bells on New Year's night was absolutely brilliant, never seen a fire work display as good anywhere in my life, well worth it. Breakfast was awesome and views are 2nd to none.
I had a great stay at the hotel for my 50th birthday. Staff accommodated me in a nice room and left me complimentary chocolates and Prosecco in room. Thank you to the staff for making my stay pleasant I really recommend this property and will stay
First time at High Range. Great location for Aviemore. Had everything we required especially dog walks nearby. Accommodation warm on arrival. And extremely comfortable. Well maintained grounds and surroundings. Would return for more visits.
Very nice, clean hotel with wonderful, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom. Very easy walk to downtown Aviemore and the forest park with walking trails. It was also easy to access the walking trail along the river.
Beautifully decorated, luxurious apartment for four people but with enough space, crockery etc. to entertain more, if required. Great location in Aviemore with many nearby shops, restaurants etc.
Comfortable warm room.fluffy towels and toiletries and good shower. The breakfast was great good variety and good quality .tea and toast served to your table.Short walk into Aviemore from hotel.
Located centrally in Aviemore the hotel is convenient for all the attractions of the town and the surrounding landscape is beautiful.
The hotels external appearance has good curb appeal.
I was many, many times in Aviemore and always stay in hotels, and that was a mistake! Perfect place for holiday ! You can find even board games and lego for kids 😉
