The nearest bigger grocery store (like Coop/Migros) is about 9 km away. There are a lot of small restaurants in the village though. Vira offers a great view on the Lago Maggiore and the surrounding Alps.

The mattress of the bed was ok, the tiny ensuite bathroom not bad, could use a renovation, but still ok. Room and bathroom pretty clean. Free parking available on spot. Guests receive the Ticino ticket that allows them to use all means of public transport for free during the entire stay. Awesome!

The hotel has vary basic rooms but it was adequate for a one night stay and the bed was very comfortable . Shared bathroom was excellent .
