The single room was TINY and not updated since the 80s. But it was clean; the sheets were perfectly white and the room had a stunning view of the waterfall. Breakfast was fine, but nothing to write home about as the only hot option were soft-cooked eggs.

This hotel is very guest friendly. The breakfast was buffet style and excellent. There was a wide range of food choices and the view of Staubbach Falls, Jungfrau, Monk and Eiger while eating at your table was splendid. They also had a “picnic” room with microwaves, dishes and cutlery. This allowed you to “heat and eat” your own food. The staff was professional, always available and ready to assist. The rooms were very clean, spacious and the water pressure in the shower was great. If your room doesn’t have a balcony, no worries. There are public balconies on every floor. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel.

The Hotel Alpina is an experience in itself - great but basic rooms, good breakfast, excellent staff.

The Silberhorn Hotel in Lauterbrunnen is located off the main street, only 492 feet from the train station, providing access to the skiing and hiking areas. Free parking and free Wi-Fi is available.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent on-site restaurant with Swiss specialties, continental dining and wood-fired oven pizzas. Breakfast was a full buffet and offered many options. The location is perfect - directly across from train station and lift to Murren as well as a walk to many hiking trails. Yet, it is quiet. One evening of my stay, the local yodeling club spontaneously decided to dress in their traditional regalia and come perform at dinner! The staff said this happens rarely, perhaps once a year, and were so excited for the guests to experience it. It was such an authentic and fun event!

Located at the foot of the ski slopes, Historic Hotel Falken was one of the first hotels in the Jungfrau region. It offers a music room, a terrace and guided walks.
