We chose Post Hardermmannli because of it’s location. It’s in the beautiful section of Interlaken called Unterseen and a 10 min walk from the train station. What we didn’t know was the incredible view from our room. The staff spoke English very well, were extremely friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants, and sight seeing. Don’t miss out on Lauterbrunnen, our hike above it was the highlight of the trip. Our room was super clean and a good size including a balcony with table and chairs to enjoy our view and the hang gliders went right over us from the mountains! The daily breakfast included not only the traditional meats and cheeses but eggs made to order. With the free transportation card provided you can utilize the bus system to see all of Interlaken and the main station is a 10 min walk. There’s also a grocery store close by.
We highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

The location is at the top of a hill in Wengen. The views of the alps is amazing from here. Especially at sunset:). It’s about a 7 minute walk up, moderately strenuous at the very end. But you can walk to shops, restaurants, hikes and the train station easily.
The staff-especially the GM, front desk manager and kitchen staff were very helpful, caring and kind.

Saxeten is a very small village in the middle of a mountainous nowhere!
For a "nature-only" fanatic, this is the place. The sound of cows' bells in the morning, the view of the mountains around, fresh air, etc., all these really charge you batteries for when going back to your city life.
BUT, if you want to get a place to sleep during you visiting Interlaken area (Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Jungfrau), you better think again!
The road to Saxeten is a 15 minutes rollercoaster! You have to have a strong heart to drive Saxeten-Interlaken a couple of times a day (and that's on good weather). Keep in mind that Switzerland is full of wonderful mountainous landscapes, so I don't recommend to stay in Saxeten, unless you can't find accommodation elsewhere in the area, for the dates of your trip.
