This hotel is very guest friendly. The breakfast was buffet style and excellent. There was a wide range of food choices and the view of Staubbach Falls, Jungfrau, Monk and Eiger while eating at your table was splendid. They also had a “picnic” room with microwaves, dishes and cutlery. This allowed you to “heat and eat” your own food. The staff was professional, always available and ready to assist. The rooms were very clean, spacious and the water pressure in the shower was great. If your room doesn’t have a balcony, no worries. There are public balconies on every floor. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel.

This is a great hotel. Far better than a 2 star as its rated. The fire was lit for us at night to sit in the cosy inviting lounge area. The room was clean and beds comfortable. An electric jug is supplied with tea/coffee which was very welcomed at the end of a busy day sightseeing. Supermarket is only a few minutes away. The breakfast supplied is great. Friendly staff throughout the whole hotel. Train station is within easy walking distance also. We loved watching the snow fall from our patio area on the mountain and streets. We would stay here again and recommend to others visiting Interlaken.

For a "nature-only" fanatic, this is the place. The sound of cows' bells in the morning, the view of the mountains around, fresh air, etc., all these really charge you batteries for when going back to your city life.
BUT, if you want to get a place to sleep during you visiting Interlaken area (Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Jungfrau), you better think again!
The road to Saxeten is a 15 minutes rollercoaster! You have to have a strong heart to drive Saxeten-Interlaken a couple of times a day (and that's on good weather). Keep in mind that Switzerland is full of wonderful mountainous landscapes, so I don't recommend to stay in Saxeten, unless you can't find accommodation elsewhere in the area, for the dates of your trip.
