Not my first, not my last for sure. Easy to reach from Visp with the bus, service during peak periods count on many busses. In town you find all you need. Ski slopes excellent (when with enough snow) Very old fashion town, for classic alpine style lovers. Very friendly locals, mostly multilingual

Sass-Grund is perfect place to stay.
Sass-Grund is perfect place to stay. Sass-Fee seems to bit a bigger skiing areas so we skied there and not in Sass-Grund. There is (as least it was last year) a separate ski pass for each resort which make skiing in both places during one week a bit more expensive. The ski bus only takes about 15 min to get to Sass-Fee. This place is full of mountain trails to discover, it's a great place for summer or winter sports. They provide you with free public transportation for the region as well. By car it's very easy to get to Saas-Fee or even Zermatt and it's not so packed with tourists so it really make you feel more relaxed and in contact with nature.CarloSwitzerland - 8.0Scored 8.0

Plenty of spectacular hiking opportunities in the high alps. Breathtaking scenery. Good bus service to other places in the Saas valley. Free use of buses and cable cars if you utilise the Bürgerpass promotion. Good restaurants in the village, especially the Bergheimat Hotel - excellent food and friendly service.

You will get a FREE bus pass for your stay from the owners. The ski gondolas are 10min walking or 2 bus stops. The kids sledge slope is 1 minute walk. Wonderful place! The windows are so good sound proof. You cannot hear anything from outside. The view from the 2 small balconies is so nice. One looking over the Saas-Fee area. The owners are lovely people and will help you with anything you may need.

The rooms are older but that is expected for this hotel; they were clean and everything functioned well. Breakfast is good and generous and the hotel is quiet. We were looking for something basic, inexpensive and clean in high season and we got what we paid for. Be aware that to get to Saas-Fee you need to take a bus, sometimes with a change in the center of Saas-Grund, but the management can help with the schedule.

Parking is super convenient at the property. Basically, you can park your own car there and take ski buses to where you want to go skiing-- Saas Fee, Saas Grund, or Saas Almagell. The apartment size is very decent. All essentials included. Washing machine available and this is perfect for long stay. Host is super nice and caring.

And Saas-Fee can be reached within 10-15 minutes by car/bus (there is also a nice 1-hour hiking trail if you prefer to hike). The host is amazing, she was really welcoming and made me feel at home.
