The small and cozy Hotel-Restaurant le Mazot in the heart of Zermatt offers you charming rooms at reasonable rates, great cuisine and superb views of the Matterhorn from the balcony.
A small, quiet alpine village. It is an deal base for visiting the Charles Kuonen bridge, currently the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world. A circular hiking route begins near the church. It's is also convenient for visiting car-free Zermatt with its beautiful views of the Matterhorn. It is much cheaper to stay here than in Zermatt and trains run frequently from the village.

Great base to make the hike to the suspension bridge.
Great base to make the hike to the suspension bridge. Town is very quiet so not good for those looking for shopping and other activities but a very nice place for a quiet stay. Short, twice-hourly train to Zermatt, that is fairly expensive.

A cozy village, cheaper than the near the resort of Zermatt.
A cozy village, cheaper than the near the resort of Zermatt. Much more genuine than the flashy resort of Zermatt, the village is lacking in supermarkets, restaurants and bars, but offers a calm, quiet atmosphere while still being 10 minutes away from the buzz of the big resort.
The hike to visit the longest suspension bridge in the world is great - don't miss it.
We stayed in Chalet Moos for three nights. Overall, we had an extremely comfortable stay. The apartment is located at a 5 mins walk from Randa station and it is quite easy to find the apartment. On arrival, our apartment was clean and tidy and the heaters were set at an optimal temperature. The hosts (Family Brantschen) are super friendly. The property is fully furnished and one can find everything in the apartment that is required for a comfortable stay.
A very lovely place! the hotel is located just 1 minute away in a walking distance from Randa station (which is just 15 minutes away by train from Zermatt). We got upgrade to a very wonderful room free of charge and the room was super! my parents were really pleased and enjoyed the stay that they were still talking about how nice the room/the hotel is even after we are back home. The owner was also very kind and helpful.
If you want a typical Swiss chalet close to Zermatt, then this is the place to go. It’s just next to Randa train station which is 2 stops away from Zermatt. Very great value and the owner is super friendly, hospitable and flexible. We even got a free upgrade of 2 rooms because my dad (pwd) can’t take the stairs. There is a bar and restaurant too so no need to go out of the hotel. Thanks again Marco!
I couldn't find the perfect word to describe this place. All I can say is wonderful! This place is located in the small town called "Randa" where you can take a train to Matterhorn. The cleanliness and room decoration was more superb than we think. Additionally, they have plenty of kitchenware which we can fully use when we stayed. Also, the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Ben and Marie were very kind and helpful hosts-any questions we had were answered and they were very open and communicative. The spot was cozy and charming. Randa was a quiet place away from our lively time in Zermatt. The stay was greatly appreciated and the room was clean and nice. Would 100% recommend to stay here and have Ben and Marie as hosts again! Greatly appreciate it!
Hosts are excellent. They provided all the information by email. The location is great, near Randa train station, 20 minutes by train to Zermatt. The kitchen is old (vintage looking), well-equipped with everything that is needed for cooking. Super quiet. Beautiful view. I think this place is great value for money for people who like to stay away from busier Zermatt.
I strongly recommend this apartment cause it is very cosy and the owner is very kind and friendly. He recommended a few nice places for us to visit. Especially the suspension bridge with the nice scenery. If I visit Switzerland again I would like to choose this apartment again.
The staff was extremely welcoming and talkative and informed me thoroughly about my hike! The dinner was exceptional!!! I cannot emphasize the quality of the food, especially given the cost of only 40chf. Such high-quality food usually costs at least 100chf in Switzerland.
This house was perfect for our family stay in Randa. It is easily accessible and within walking distance from the Randa train station.
Clean, large and still cozy for a family stay.
Amazing views of the mountains
.
Definitely a recommend.
The property was exceptionally clean. It seems to be a new renovation so everything is in excellent condition. It is an easy train ride away from Zermatt and is reasonably priced for Switzerland and the distance away from Zermatt.
Coffee pod machine kettle and mini fridge in the room. All other hotels in the area take note.
Great to be able to make tea at night.
Very quiet short walk from Randa train station. Bunny slope for kids right next to the hotel.
Nice quiet location in Randa. Very friendly host who reached out prior to the arrival and shared all the requited info on the arrival, parking etc. Amazing views from the window. Fully equipped kitchen.
Clean and comfortable hotel with lots of local color, convenient to both the train station and the path to the Hängebrücke Randa. Staff are helpful and accommodating.
The Place is Beautiful and Accessible to Randa Station which is only a 2 stations away to Zermatt. The House Staff Elena Michael and Javier was charming and lovely
Location, convenience, staff interactions particularly Marco who was very accommodating to us. Great gentleman who runs the accommodation. Thank you Marco!
