All basic amenities were provided. The refrigerator was stocked up with milk and basic food items. This was very thoughtful . This is something other homeowners could replicate.

I can’t ask for more about this hotel that I booked randomly just before my departure from China. Everything for me is extraordinary and above my expectation. The property is so well designed and decorated, it’s more like a Private guesthouse than a hotel, everything is unique and with great taste. The staff working here with warm heart and good service attitude. Always willing to help, they work happily like a family, which makes the guests feel home immediately. I arrived very late on the first day, and Pablo welcomed me and introduced me everything and show me around, he even prepared a special drink for me, the chef Simon, he is a very young but very creative guy . He prepared a lovely breakfast for me that I feel so privileged. And also the manager Jule , another chef Ivo, the ski instructor Adam ,etc. I’d like to give my great gratitude to everyone of them, this is my first time to Switzerland, when we talked and feel so connected like friends, I will come here again and stay with them! The surroundings are also very beautiful, it’s just in The Valley of Alp Mountains , you can enjoy amazing Alp view from your window on the bed! Which is incredible.
I stayed two nights and I would like to stay longer .
I had a great memory at Wetterhorn hotel and highly recommend to all my friends 👍🍀🇨🇭❄️😘

Meiringen is a wonderful place for mountain enthusiasts.
Meiringen is a wonderful place for mountain enthusiasts. It is not nearly as touristic as the nearby Interlaken and offers the chance to enjoy nature including Reichenbach falls, glaciers and the Aare Gorge cozily. A perfect escape location with a real Swiss spirit.

It was a lovely town unfortunately due to the Covid restrictions most shops were close. However Meiringen is centrally located to Interlaken, Lucern, Grimmewald. All within driving distance. Will visit again in summer , hopefully the covid restrictions are no longer there

Meiringen is a quiet community, but for travellers like me, it's perfect. I use a Swiss Travel Pass so visit different places everyday, some quite far away. I've visited Switzerland 17 times and am already planning my net trip.

Super nice comfy small town, located in a very beautiful valley with several waterfalls, from which the most famous one is Reichenbach waterfall (Sherlock Holmes). Mountains are very beautiful, many hiking opportunities.

Charming town, great access point to mountains and close enough to Interlaken that you can access activities there but enjoy a quieter and more relaxing location as your home base. There’s also lots to do in the town including the Sherlock Holmes museum and lots of cute shops.

The scenery is just superb.
The scenery is just superb. I enjoyed hiking in the mountains above. The area is moist and green, and the aquamarine stream flowing through town from the Aarve gorge is very picturesque. I admit this was not my first time here. The only real issue was getting here and back from Geneva, which involved too many changes of train (four times on way back! - a problem when connections are tight and carrying a heavy suitcase)
Very well kept and -run Hotel providing great comfort and perfect rest in the heart of Meiringen. Despite the central location it is quiet and peaceful and the Terrasse under the chestnut lovely. The food in the restaurant is excellent, fresh, tasty, classy - a nice combination of the best of Swiss and Asian touches. The decoration in the house is pared back but absolutely beautiful with lovely little touches like art, crystals and flowers. The hosts and all the staff were very kind and so welcoming.
Great location in Meiringen! On a quiet street close to shops and dining and a great base to explore that valley of the Alps. The apartment was perfect! So cozy and cute, with all of the amenities you need, and still plenty of space to relax. Our host provided us with wonderful recommendations of nearby attractions and was very flexible with our check-in time which we greatly appreciated. We loved our stay and would highly recommend!
Very friendly and helpful staff providing us with lot of local knowledge and recommendations around late dinner places.
The room size and bathroom were good, hotel nicely decorated in the Sherlock Holmes theme.
Breakfast was good with lot of options.
Underground parking was also nice feature for our motorbike.
We appreciate the walking distance to the city centre from the hotel.
Self catering. Excellent location, very close to Post Bus and train station so easy to get about - no need for a car. Meiringen is a lovely village surrounded by beautiful scenery offering splendid walks and sightseeing. The nearby Sherlock Holmes museum is a “must see” as are the Reichenbach Falls. Buses tske you high through mountain passes through stunning scenery.
This property is located in a very convenient location, only 5 Minutes walking to train station. Room was very comfortable and clean, has everything we need.
Ursula, the host has taken care us very well. We felt very welcomed to her place. If we will be in Meiringen again, this is definitely our first choice 😁 Thank you very much Ursula
We loved the property. We stayed 5 days and everything was excellent. Very clean, comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Beds and living room comfortable as well. Great host welcomed us and know the area well. We were there on a cycling tour and Meiringen is a great location to base your cycling in this area.
It's a simple travel hotel and the price is accordingly.
Overall that fit our expectation very well for our hiking trip.
The room, bathroom, breakfast... everything is severed nicely, clean, but simple.
The manager is very nice and helped with every request we had.
We were a family of 3. The room was 21m2, so not too big for 2 adults + 1 child, but still okay. Beds were quite comfortable. Breakfast was probably above average for Swiss standards. We found the room very clean. The hotel has its own (adequate) car park.
Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good and available until 10:30 every day. Room spacious and clean with modern bathroom. Good location in the centre of Meiringen with easy access to the train station and restaurants. Theme of the hotel is fun.
Clean and fresh hotel with an airplane theme- love it! Building is older but certainly renovated and the room furnishings were nice and contemporary and clean. Breakfast was fine- some lack of choice, but filling. I would stay here again.
The location is great - in the center of Meiringen, a short walking distance to the cable car and the restaurants. The owner was friendly and helpful. The facilities are comfortable and well designed up to the small details.
The room is clean. The room is convenient. The room is large. Friendly owner. Plenty of utensils and children's toys. Grundelwald and Interlaken are also nearby, so the hotel is in a good location. BBQ is also possible.
Very nice-historical hotel. It feels the building itself has already quite a history behind but also its well renovated. We enjoyed our stay very much with excellent breakfast and wonderful location. Can only recommend!
Location was very close to the cable car and close to the village. Also the Staff were very friendly. Parking direct by the Hotel, no extra costs. Breakfast was fine, good quality but nothing special.
the room is above the main shower/checkin building for a camp ground. It's quiet and a bit more outside the center. It's nice if you want to get away from the sherlock holmes themed center of town.
Nice breakfast area, with a table set for you. The room is basic but it's comfortable. It has a TV and big fride. The hotel has a nice restaurant with great Italian food.
