Excellent rail link from Interlaken and then access by train or cable car to various mountains. Whilst the village is quiet it has a coffee shop and a few other shops open during March, I'm sure many more in the Summer.

The town Lauterbrunnen is wonderful.
The town Lauterbrunnen is wonderful. Small town with a cliff on both sides. Very scenic. Murren and Shilthorn the Ski Attractions are accessible through Lauterbrunnen. Nice cosy hotels and wonderful food and friendly people is what Lauterbrunnen offers. Its very close to the wonderful town Wengen (20 min via train) which is at a Hill top opposite to Lauterbrunnen and connects to Jungfrau - The Top of Europe.
Lauterbrunnen is a must visit town if one is visiting Switzerland and wants to enjoy a very scenic and less crowded experience.

Lauterbrunnen is perfect if you prefer to be in a quiet and low key spot versus some of the larger towns in the area. It is basically one street but has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The train station services everything in the area, and also has a lift to Murren. There are plenty of cafes, a supermarket and sports equipment stores. It's a lovely village.

Super easy to navigate around Lauterbrunnen, with frequent buses, cable cars, and trains available. Walking and hiking options are everywhere; trails for families or more experienced hikers. Friendly shopkeepers and the local grocery store (COOP) is open even on Sundays.

This hostel is the perfect answer to an affordable stay In Lauterbrunnen! Switzerland is so expensive, yet this hostel provides a budget stay with a great location and comfortable beds. We stayed here in a 4 person bunk room with our teenage daughter to hike for 4 days. We shopped for groceries at the supermarket across the street and appreciated the ability to make ourselves an inexpensive breakfast each day and make sandwiches for a packed lunch each day for our hikes. Our room #4 had a door to the outside balcony with a gorgeous view.
The room is just refurnished I thought. It is roomy and comfort. The balcony has the view to the fall, it is very pretty in the morning when the first sunshine say "good morning" to the valley. The location is close to the train station, very convent but with luggage it is a little tough because of the uphill. The breakfast is nice and you should reserve dinner at the hotel's restaurant. They serve good food that you have difficult time to find it at the town in the evening.
This is a nice hotel literally 2 minutes walk from the Lauterbrunnen train station and Mürrenbahn. The Valley Top Superior room we stayed in was very fresh, quite spacious and featured a mid-sized balcony with a view of Staubbach waterfall. The restaurant staff are very friendly and welcoming and dinner menu is quite diverse, with a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Hotel Silberhorn features a pretty garden, where guests can have a nice stroll or enjoy a few drinks.
Most epic view I found in Switzerland. Truly incredible to be looking right down the valley with an unobstructed view of the glaciers, not far away, three waterfalls on either side of the valley, and base jumpers, jumping off the cliff. A truly spectacular view, excellent facilities, very comfortable bed, very quiet. Great communication from the host. Easy to check in. Pretty easy to find. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at through Booking.com.
We loved how unique this property was. We are avid campers, but for this trip we had luggage and none of our camping gear so we opted for one of the fox cabins. It was quaint and just what we needed for our time in lauterbrunnen. We hope to be back here in the future! Also loved the location, that it was tucked back in the valley away from some of the bustle of the tourism in the city. Also loved the onsite shop and restaraunt.
This charming little hotel is perfect for its price and value. Small yet comfortable, quiet and the rooms were clean. It’s centrally located in Lauterbrunnen and although the restaurant isn’t affiliated with the hotel, it’s convenient. The front receptionist was helpful and the elevator was a nice bonus, especially since we had a wheelchair. Oh the view of Stabbauch fall from our room balcony and outside the hotel, is amazing!
Excellent location, on the edge of Lauterbrunnen. Easy parking around the hotel.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was quite dated but spotlessly clean with lovely bedding. We also had a wonderful view of the mountains from our balcony.
Breakfast was just wonderful with a great choice of local breads, hams and cheese, as well as pastries, jam, fresh fruit and cereals.
Soon has I walked through the door I
was met with a warm welcome and that says so much for a staying any hotel
Of course so friendly
The dinner menus were good
Lots of choice selection of drinks etc
And taste of the food was excellent
Hopefully return to lauterbrunnen
That's my first choice where to stay
Thank you for everything
They cleaned the room and changed the towels every day (in a 2-star hotel, amazing),
there was a heater in the room - which is rather important in Lauterbrunnen in September,
and they offered free tea and coffee throughout the day.
Free Parking by the hotel is also a good thing.
And the view from breakfast room stands out.
We loved our stay here, the staff were amazing and helped us out a lot with places to visit and what train schedule to take. The views were beautiful from our window and we had so much fun at the bar and met some really cool people. If we ever come back to Switzerland we will definitely be staying here again. 😃
The location is just perfect. The hotel looks directly to the waterfall. Lauterbrunnen is such a charming and cute town and you are staying in the middle of all those cuteness :) Carol is the wonder woman. She interacted with all her guests individually. The breakfast was superb. We really enjoyed our stay :)
The apartment is ideally located to visit the Lauterbrunnen valley. It is on the first floor of a quaint looking Swiss chalet. The rooms are spacious and the beds/linens very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. The host Lukas was easy to communicate with and answered all our questions quickly.
This hotel is in the perfect location in Lauterbunnen valley, 5 minute walk from the train station. Every hotel room has an amazing view. The staff was very helpful shoutout to Tristen for answering all our questions and helping us navigate the area.
Lively place with restaurant, bar, lounge, shared kitchen, shop and playground. Kitchen very welcome (need francs to work the hobs) as all catering very expensive in Switzerland. Beds were double bunks in our hostel-style room but very comfortable.
Everything was amazing the hotel the staff the rooms, everything was awesome, if i ever get the chance to comeback to Switzerland i will 100% book a room here, it was absolutely amazing, 10/10 would definitely reccomend ;)
Very good Swiss-style hotel with the amazing view to Staubbachfall from our balcony (room s32, 3rd floor) and Lauterbrunnen valley!
Short distance from railway station, supermarket and other shops and cafés.
The kitchen is so well equipped! It helped us save a lot of the dining cost in Lauterbrunnen knowing that food isn’t cheap in Switzerland. We have eight in the room but we didn’t feel crowded at all.
