Innertkirchen is a quiet village.
Innertkirchen is a quiet village. The environment is great and there is a Coop in Meringen which is not far. But please note that all supermarkets are closed on Sunday. So prepare what you need in advance for Sunday.

After 5 minutes of climbing you reach this wonderful hotel/restaurant where you can see amazing landscapes and spend the night listening to the sheep bells. The same road can get you to the lake Engstlensee a famous fishing spot in the region. The couple managing the facility was very nice and helpful and we even enjoyed a Jacuzzi with the kids.AmineFrance

It is also very well maintained ( built in 1630!!) very clean and comfortable. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly and polite and the food was delicious. Its spotlessly clean, with beautiful comfy rooms and a really good restaurant. Breakfast was superb. Its perfectly situated in the centre of Innertkirchen a very short walk from the bus and train station. A good sized car park on site was a real bonus. We will definitely stay again.

But you have a restaurant, bar and friendly staff. Good for a night after we had ridden the famous 3 mountain passes - this is directly on the junction of the Grimsel and Susten.
