Our room was comfortable and roomy. The chandelier, window seat and view made it exquisite! Location perfect! Enjoyed Vesper lounge view and pizza! The buffet breakfast was worth the $. Highly recommend this hotel!

The location was great. The hotel is close to the train station and there is a bus stop close by. The hotel provided a free bus pass to use during our visit, which I think was part of the city's effort to make it easy for visitors to get around. The hotel was in the middle of everything - old town, tourist sights, shopping, restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores. The location couldn't be beat. The included breakfast was very good and offered a variety of items to eat.

This city is a short distance from Lucerne.
This city is a short distance from Lucerne. There are frequent trains that go to Lucerne and further into Unterwalden. The main attraction in Hergiswill is the glass works and its museum and restaurant. There is a boat that stops there. One of its benefits is hotels that cost less than Lucerne Hotels and offer great views of the Lake. Consider it a suburb of Lucerne.Ramon - 10Scored 10

It's a very lovely hotel, location is perfect right in front of the lake. 10 minutes for a lovely walk from the Hergiswil train station to the hotel. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Oh and it's only 2 stations away to the Alpnachstad Pilatus station.

Hergiswil is a perfect location on the Lake of Lucerne with...
Hergiswil is a perfect location on the Lake of Lucerne with breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. We decided to walk up from Hergiswil to Pilatus which is quite steep, especially after Fräkmümtegg, which is the halfway stop with gondola station and restaurants. This hike is about 5 hours and there are sensational views down to the lake. At the top, there is choice of cable car down to Kriens, followed by a short train journey back to Hergiswil or the"steepest funicular in Europe " down to Alpnachstad, which we chose, Hergiswill is not far from Alpnachstad and a short return journey by boat on the lake is the relaxing way to end the trip.

Very nice village close to Luzern. right on the lake with public beaches and dozens of hiking trails. there is lots to do for couples and families. It's Switzerland, so dining options are expensive for what you get, but you won't starve.

The breakfast is great and the restaurant is good . The rooms are spacious you can actually walk in them (in some hotels the bed takes up the whole room.) The interiors are modern and well designed. Migro supermarket is 50m from the property which is amazing. Also the Hergiswill NW train station is 5 minutes walk from the place. The facilities were splendid and sufficient. Breakfast was complete and also more than sufficient. All in all a fantastic stay in a fantastic hotel on a fantastic location. Parking facilities were readily available, but on a first come, first serve basis.
