Great ski slopes, a lot of different restaurants, amazing hiking paths and a great view. The locals are welcoming and there's always something fun going on. We actually have a family member who loves it so much they're planning on moving there. Super family-friendly as well, even with very small kids.

Very nice and beautiful town.
Very nice and beautiful town. The town itself as well as the area around it.
Before going there, I was a bit concerned about the car free zone, but it turned out to be very easy to park the car, and very easy to get around in the relatively small town. Once the car was parked it was very nice to be in a place without cars.

Grächen is great.
Grächen is great. I think everyone can find something to do there. The region has prepared different paths for relaxed hiking, for heavy hiking, biking. I was surprised to see how many areas have been prepared also for grill with friends & family (incl. Fireplaces).
Nice restaurants and small bars are also available. The lockal butcher offers great things for the grill or take home.

I spent two nights in Grächen.
I spent two nights in Grächen. There is good hiking in the area with a variety of different lengths/difficulties. The people in this town are very friendly. I had some excellent fondue at The Walliserstube Restaurant. Would strongly recommend this area for families with children.
I spent 1 week in this apt, with a group of friends. The apt had everything we needed (3 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms), even the kitchen was very well equipped, including small items like coffee, salt, etc. The view from the balcony was breathtaking! We also had 1 parking spot directly at the door of the house/balcony, which was super convenient, plus another spots could be purchased for little money, which is very valuable in Grachen. If you need something, the shops/restaurants are reachable by a short walk.
We had a very wonderful stay in Hotel Gadi. We stayed there during the Walker's Haute Route hike. The hotel staff members were very friendly and helpful. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The hotel owners and the waiter constantly checked on us to see if we needed anything. Their breakfast buffet offered the best selection in all the hotels we've stayed during this trip! We highly recommend this hotel.
This was above our expectations. Perfect location next to a bus stop. Nice terrace with a great view of Weisshorn and other peaks. Grachen Goldcard issued on site, includes bus and train ride to Zermatt and a trip up to Gornergrat, which makes it a great deal. Appartment well equipped, ideal for families. We were very happy with our choice for this accommodation!
We loved the place and had amazing family holidays. The house is super prepared for families and kids, it's comfortable, clean, with a beautiful view of the mountains and close to the Gondola for the ski station of Grachen (10/15 min walk) with locker included. Isabelle the host was super nice and attentive. 100% recommend it.
Amazing location surrounded by a stunning landscape!. Excellent attention and service from the Staff. Clean and cozy rooms, on top of being pet friendly. We couldn't resist having dinner dinner every night at the hotel and enjoying what Chef Olivier had prepared for us and served by lovely Carol! Highly recommmended.
Amazing views, no noise from other people in the building. Everything in Grächen was accesible by foot. After a few days we received a gift, which surprised us. It wasn't necessary, but I want to thank the owner for the gesture. In short: we had an amazing time here, would definitely recommend.
Amazing place to stay near Zermatt. The village Grächen is at a great hight. It gives great views.
You get the whole house with perfect location. Hosts are very nice and they do all to make your stay comfortable.
We loved our stay and will definitely stay again next time here only.
Location, staff, breakfast, restaurant (you could eat what you wanted of the main dish) the free access to cablecar, free shuttle with electric hoteltaxi, no cars in the area where the hotel is, fine parking facillity, view from the room’s balcony, pool and spa.
The breakfast was included (yay) and it was pretty extensive (wish there were more meat options). The hotel was right smack in the center and 3 mins walk to ski lift. Our views from the hotel were amazing, we got to see the town and the mountains!
It's a charming b&b style hotel up the hill from the main square. From the back of the property you are directly on the trails leading up to Hanigalp. The breakfast is superb. The restaurant is charming. We will definitely be back!
very nice hotel in the center of Grächen. the area downstairs was lovely with fireplace and relaxing area. our room was small but clean and had all needed. The staff is very friendly.
The views were amazing. The size accommodated the size of our party and it had easy access to grocery stores and not far from our ancestral home of Vispertermine, Switzerland.
Excellent hotel and never seen such a friendly staff, just felt like we are back home.I have stayed in 6 hotels and this is by far best stay in my budget.
