This is a great hotel to get away from the hubbub of...
This is a great hotel to get away from the hubbub of everyday life. Excellent views, choice of walks, close to the cog train to Mt Rigi as well as the ferry service. Ronnie and Bruno, both of whom run the in-house restaurant, are friendly, charming and entertaining. Both speak English well. Fully recommended.

The rooms and bathrooms were spacious, sunny balconies with parasols and comfy chairs. Breakfast had a good choice . The small town Gersau is very attractive, clean, with pretty houses. We added a 3rd night, would have happily stayed longer. The weather was beautiful too.There is a large dining balcony right over the water to enjoy the large boats crossing the lake. Many Boat and mountain excursions with reliable timetables are available nearby.

We stayed at the chalet, such a nice, romantic room. Just be aware that it is a wooden chalet, so you hear every step. The bathroom was in a lower floor, so, a longer walk at night. The kids stayed in a very big and modern 8-bed room and had a blast! We had a very nice dinner and breakfast at the hotel. We are already planning to make this a yearly get-together spot!!

A memorable experience to be staying up high, if you want to try something different from a hotel in a town etc. It is easily reached by either of two cable cars, and once you are up there are great walks to explore Mt Rigi. Most of all, the hosts were really welcoming and helpful.

Just 2 minutes from the lake shore and a swim (walk 250 meters to the right to find the park, from where the whole village goes for a swim).

We stayed here for one night while traveling by car, passed the Gotthard tunnel to cross border to Northern Italy. This hotel has a parking space which is very convenient.
