This town is mainly a residential area. We spent a lot of money getting trains to and from the town. Very few shops, we found it hard to find an open shop. Some local coffee shops. A burger king, lidl and aldi. Altdorf is only a few minutes up the road which was bigger and busier. Our favourite thing about fluelen was the mountain views and the cable car

A town of character situated on the eastern shore of Lake...
A town of character situated on the eastern shore of Lake Luzern. Excellent location for touring with good connection in all directions. Local railway station with regular trains to Luzern, Zurich and south beyond the Gotthard.
The rooms were very clean, you couldn't get any cleaner, great!
The breakfast was excellent and very rich.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The hotel is close to the lake.
