Sparking clean location, Marco was mega mega helpful (even helped us go to the train station with the van, even though we were outside the shuttle time). Overall mega nice location 😍
The cozy Hotel Derby is a quiet place in Fiesch close to the narrow Rhone river, only a 5-minute walk from the center. It is the perfect place for your hiking, biking or climbing holidays.

The hotel was an amazing mix between old and new, with a value kept on the tradition and the owning family. The staff was very helpful and just mega firendly.

Fiesch is located very centrally in Uber Wallis. The perfect base to organize your trips from. Locally you have the Cable car to Fiescher-Alp and Eggishorn. Several walks of 5 to 10 Km loops are passing in Fiesch. In less than a one-hour drive, you can reach the passes Grimsel, Furka, Simplon, and Gottart. Close by you can also find Binn which is a great spot for 1-day hikes on a higher altitude. Fiesch has all the shops you could need. Fuel and resto are a bit cheaper than in the big cities. I loved it!

Super for skiing in winter (downhill), a variety of cross-country skiing opportunities are only 20 min by local train. In the summer, amazing hikes, high up in the Alps with views of the Aletsch glacier and on clear days the Matterhorn gleams in the distance.
Village has supermarkets, pharmacy, bakery and butcher with tasty local specials.

Our destination was Fiesheralp and we loved it from the start, our stay was during the summer. You reach the place only by cable car(return ticket for one adult is 27 CHF but you can purchase daily tickets etc.. )
Life up there is very different from town and city life,in the alp you get very close to nature, animals are in their natural environment and sort of queens and kings of it!!
The paths are very good and you can choose among many, most of them are suitable for children too.
Our apartment was well equipped and had a good Wi-Fi connection,so even if leaving in the wild you can have all the comforts at hand!
Absolutely recomendable, no frills hotel. I got the single room, which has a bed and a desk and a decent bathroom. If youre looking for a simple room for a couple of days, this is the place you want to stay. They have extra ammenities (pool?) wchih i didnt use. Location wise is decent (15 minutes to the cable car). They also let me park my motorcycle under a roof nearby.
Shower water Slow hand weak, take long time showering, look like self owned business, the lady who has a Bed Attitude,
I email before Reply hotel, asking parking informations, but they are not Clear instructions state
“they have Public parking on street it’s easy and free” Actually it was the parking for fee,
We Finding out next morning
We missed pay parking fee.
We enjoyed our stay at Du Glacier, having a bar and restaurant downstairs that’s open also on Monday’s when everything else is close. They serve really nice food and drinks, just bear in mind that it is pricey like everything in Switzerland. The staff was super friendly and breakfast had all the options you would expect.
The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating.
We stayed for one night but were able to ski the entire area both days as we arrived and departed in skiing gear with layers removed. This was due to the hotel being happy to allow us to store our minimal other baggage prior to checkin and after checkout. Thanks.
Hotel tucked away at a now defunct railway station, so it has a slightly "off the beaten track" feel - which for me was positive. The view from the room was great, and there were few formalities. Breakfast (by which I always judge a place) was simple but excellent. (I recommend Margrit's Birchermüseli)
Lovely little hotel, very comfortable room, and we had a beautiful little garden terrace. The breakfast was great! And the staff were very friendly. Also perfect location 10 min walk from the train and cable car station. This is an especially good starting point for glacier excursions and hikes.
The hotel is conveniently located near the bus stop to Fiesch. With a short ride (3 min) one arrives to the Ski Lift in Fiesch.
Breakfast theme was very good with a variety of options and the spa and swimming pool were basically empty during the day. Optimal choice for ski-lovers.
The staff were very friendly, right from the word go. So nice to have a warm welcome!
We had a simple, comfy, spotlessly-clean room - and a great breakfast the next morning too!
The room was at the back of the hotel so we heard just the noise of the river down below. Perfect!
The bed, pillows, comforter, bedsheets etc. are very comfortable. Not many people stays overnight in Fiescheralp and not much facility available at night. We took the opportunity to rest and relax. Outside is cold in early October but the room itself is warm.
A minute walk to the cable cars in the very small hamlet of Fiescheralp this family run mountain hotel offers clean rooms with amazing views and huge breakfast. Staff and owner couldn’t have been nicer. Exceeded my expectations and great value
Danke
Great staff, a friendly girl greeted us at the entrance and showed us the way to the room, which was very clean and made in the traditional Swiss style, as the whole hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable with a warm eiderdown.
The hotel staff are very nice, the room is clean, the bed is very comfortable, and it is very peaceful to fall asleep to the sound of the river at night. Breakfast was perfect. We will come back to stay next time. Thank you!
A simple, clean place to stay overnight on the mountainside in Fiescheralp. Christian the manager was very kind and carried my heavy suitcase to and from my room as it was all stairs to get to the rooms.
Modern and antique looks blend into this hotel museum with a backstory. Friendly staff, was interesting place to visit. Also very close to the lift that brings you to aletsch glacier/eggishorn
Very comfy hotel, the room was nicely furnished and very clean. Breakfast contained everything we needed. Good cocktails at the bar. Would definitely not come again.
Schmitta has super centre location in Fiesch; really warm feel; big and comfortable balcony, very rich breakfast and fast wifi. We enjoyed our stay a lot here.
very nice cosy and comfortable hotel
staff was very friendly and helpful
there is a fantastic terrasse at the back of the hotel
food / drinks were good
