Hotel Schweizerhof is a beautiful historic hotel. I read about the family and hotel history, and that's why I wanted to experience it. Just an awesome place to stay. Right by the train station, the hotel couldn't be in a better location. Free parking is always appreciated. And our room was awesome! Very spacious! Great view! Great breakfast, and finally our kind Gentleman Receptionist was amazing explaining everything to us. Just a great guy!

Engelberg is a cozy mountain town, entirely surrounded by mountain range. The view of the peaks is breathtaking! Town is quite small, but it has various food and beverage outlets and shops.
There are two areas for alpine ski, which cater to the different tastes. Also, cross-country skiing is rightly accessible from the city center and there is a sport center where skiers can take advantage of changing rooms and lockers. Ice skating ring is also available, along with other interesting activities offered by the ski school.
Buses work excellently so you would not need the car to move around.

Perfect central location for dining, shopping and access to lifts…
Steeped in history the Alp apartments , formerly a Farm house with adjacent barn retains its heritage appeal amongst the more recent modern apartment blocks..
Concierge service available via an app provided information on social events and ability to communicate through a direct message platform in case of any issues or additional requests.
A choice of room only for couples or larger self catering apartments means there’s options depending on size of your party.. Good value compared to other pricey offers or private apartments.
There are two well stocked supermarkets within 2 min walk of apartments.
Whilst there’s plenty of choice for eating and drinking out, don’t overlook the Irish pub opposite apartments or the Ski lodge next to the railway station, both offer great food and can be quite lively with both locals and visitors.

Titlis is cold at the top even in Summer (just above freezing), so you need warmer clothes (can be rented at bottom of cable car). We were endlessly jostled by members of Indian coach parties on way up and down - pretty unpleasant. These considerations aside, incredible views to be had. Trubsee - the lake half-way up the mountain - is warm (in Summer), relaxed, with plenty of space: nice place to spend a few hours even if you don't stray too far from the lakeside (we have young children). Food in the town is ridiculously expensive (and we live in Switzerland)...just get your food from the coop and enjoy the mountains!

The town is small and beautifully located in the mountains.
The town is small and beautifully located in the mountains. With a well developed tourism both winter and summer, it’s easy to get around including reaching various mountains with 🚠 cable cars. It doesn’t really matter where you go or which mountain. Everything is absolutely stunning. Even just staying in the little town and watching the mountains with a cup of coffee in your hand would be worth going there.
it was in a great central location, easy for skiing. Really clean and comfortable. the sauna and spa was immaculate. The hotel staff are outstanding- the restaurant waiters and waitresses Mikel and Astrid were beyond charming, friendly and great to chat too. Finally the reception staff were incredible. Nothing was to much bother for Fabienne and Milad even helped me with my skis to the train station so I didn’t miss my connection. what a superstar - thanks I got my flight. definitely will come back.
Location - Walking distance from train station. Coop supermarket is also very close to the premises
Apartment is compact but clean, we found everything we needed for 3 Days stay. It also has nice outdoor seating area. Before reaching the Engelberg, I was asked to download an app to access the apartment, never faces any issue with the Application.
Kitchen - it is equipped with a ceramic plate, oven and microwave. We found all the utensils we needed.
Staff was also friendly and helpful.
Everything was perfect. The hotel is fantastic, the staff is super friendly, the room is big and clean, the breakfast is delicious. The station to the Titlis is 5 min walking from the hotel and the train station is almost in front of the hotel. The sauna is included and is really useful after a long day in the alps. Highly recommend it!! Thanks to the staff of the hotel for the great stay! :)
Hotel Terrace is in an excellent location with the lift down right into the centre of Engelberg. Our room was a bit dated but perfectly clean, the hotel and staff were very nice and the breakfast was particularly great. The on-site sauna was closed but we could go to the Titlis resort and use their wellness area for free.
Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of food. Extremely friendly and helpful staff willing to answer any silly question or request. The spa was very clean and really nice with very good opening hours (pool from 9-22, sauna 16-22). There is a superb child playground just opposite to the hotel main entrance!
Everyone in the hotel was very friendly - in reception, the bar, the restaurant and the breakfast room. My room was very comfortable with a recently refurbished bathroom. The location, in the centre of the main street through the village, is perfect for travellers from the train station.
Breakfast was good with both hot and cold options. We stayed 1st week of Dec 23 and our room had an amazing view of snow capped Mt Titlis. Engelberg is an idealic village perfect spot for a getaway. Supermarket is 5 mins walk away and eating options as well.

Staff were very kind, patient and professional. The location was perfect for us only having a short stay in Engelberg we couldn’t have been better placed to the train station, trip to the mountains and shop/ cafe. Breakfast selection was excellent
Clean, quiet, very helpful receptionist, very good food at the hotel restaurant, very professional waiters, 10 minutes walk to the train station, beautiful view.
