Really comfortable room. While a bit dated it was really clean and comfortable and had everything that was needed. It was a very short walk from the station and the gentleman at reception gave us some really great recommendations for where to eat and what to do.
Breakfast was terrific! The main lady at breakfast was attentive and it was never too much trouble for another tea/coffee.

Engelberg is a cozy mountain town, entirely surrounded by mountain range. The view of the peaks is breathtaking! Town is quite small, but it has various food and beverage outlets and shops.
There are two areas for alpine ski, which cater to the different tastes. Also, cross-country skiing is rightly accessible from the city center and there is a sport center where skiers can take advantage of changing rooms and lockers. Ice skating ring is also available, along with other interesting activities offered by the ski school.
Buses work excellently so you would not need the car to move around.

Perfect central location for dining, shopping and access to lifts…
Steeped in history the Alp apartments , formerly a Farm house with adjacent barn retains its heritage appeal amongst the more recent modern apartment blocks..
Concierge service available via an app provided information on social events and ability to communicate through a direct message platform in case of any issues or additional requests.
A choice of room only for couples or larger self catering apartments means there’s options depending on size of your party.. Good value compared to other pricey offers or private apartments.

Whilst there’s plenty of choice for eating and drinking out, don’t overlook the Irish pub opposite apartments or the Ski lodge next to the railway station, both offer great food and can be quite lively with both locals and visitors.

Titlis is cold at the top even in Summer (just above freezing), so you need warmer clothes (can be rented at bottom of cable car). We were endlessly jostled by members of Indian coach parties on way up and down - pretty unpleasant. These considerations aside, incredible views to be had. Trubsee - the lake half-way up the mountain - is warm (in Summer), relaxed, with plenty of space: nice place to spend a few hours even if you don't stray too far from the lakeside (we have young children). Food in the town is ridiculously expensive (and we live in Switzerland)...just get your food from the coop and enjoy the mountains!

The town is small and beautifully located in the mountains.
The town is small and beautifully located in the mountains. With a well developed tourism both winter and summer, it’s easy to get around including reaching various mountains with 🚠 cable cars. It doesn’t really matter where you go or which mountain. Everything is absolutely stunning. Even just staying in the little town and watching the mountains with a cup of coffee in your hand would be worth going there.
Fantastic location, too close to Engelberg train station/and the TITLIS Glacier cable car booking station. Kind and helpful staffs (they had given me an adapter for my laptop charger during my stay, which was really helpful 😊)
They offer quite heavy/and great breakfast with many options. Room is spacious having open/and common balcony with Glacier views. Location is quite/and bit on the highland, which I really liked.
And also you can find many other restaurants/and supermarkets nearby (within a 10 minutes walk)
- Super location in front of Engelberg train station.
- Very modern facilities, super clean, very friendly and helpful staff.
- Common kitchen was perfect, big and you could even order breakfast for the following day.
- If you go with your family I think it’s very good value for money, there are board games available and the rooms are big enough to be confortable.
- There is also a very cosy bar to have drinks.
- Highly recommendable.
Excellent location! Right in the heart of Engelberg, lots of restaurants, shops, and supermarket next door. Staff was friendly, accommodating, cheerful. I think the rooms were well-insulated against noise, we did not even hear doors being opened or showers being used by other hotel guests. Spa facilities were good too. Small and sufficient. Breakfast buffet was absolutely tip top. Will stay again if we ever are again in Engelberg.
- a palace worth visiting
- dine in was delicious and fast
- not sure how old is the palace but our room seemed brand new
- staff professional as always
- the room was incredible with a nice balcony
- breakfast was varied and tasty

- nice garden in hotel premise
- the area is out of this world
- generous coffee capsules
Nadia and Thomas were so kind and accommodating of our late arrival. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was lovely. Even though washrooms are shared having a sink in our room was very nice. Right in the heart of Engelberg, close walk to train station and 15-20 min walk to Mount Titlis. Would highly highly recommend :)
it was really nice experience with everything Automated that helps to do the check in easily. Also, the facilities were really good with a play Room near the coffee area allowing us to relax while the kids play. Also, I had the pleasure to meet the owner of the hotel and he showed a full hospitality and we had a really nice chat.
