Bellwald pistes are really excellent for beginners to intermediates—blue & red runs. There are some very wide pistes that are a delight to ski on. The trails through the woods to the lower levels are reasonably wide so passing is not an issue. And the slopes are on the sunny side of the mountain so that makes skiing even more pleasurable.
We were warmly welcomed and the staff were very helpful. We had initially booked for 2 but at the last minute changed to 3 and this was sorted by the hotel without problem.
The hotel is perfectly located for the gondola and the views from the room were spectacular.
We ate dinner in the restaurant where the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was super.
We used the spa which was small but well equipped. We will definitely return to this hotel.
We chose the hotel for its location, in a small mountain village, accessible by train and cable car. We could access surrounding sights and the Aletsch Glacier park easily by car and cable car. Also we were returning clients because of the excellent half-board. The spa is small but perfect. We enjoyed it during the week. The free tourist card gives free access to the little cable car up to the village.
The owners have refurbished this traditional Swiss hotel and run it with a lot of passion during the winter and summer season. They make their guests feel welcome at all times - preparing a wonderful breakfast in the morning and allowing the guests to use the cosy dining room for self-made dinners, board games, etc. in the evening.
The hotel, the spa, and the restaurant are super nice, and with a much better value for money than what you would get in more fancy resorts (Zermatt, Crans Montana, Verbier). You can come and go skiing right from the front door. We also enjoyed Bellwald A LOT, which is a real gem of a town.
it is an apartment in the middle of Bellwald, which is an extraordinary beautiful village. very old wooden houses, a lot of them being renovated into comfortable homes without loosing the exterior old beauty. Loved the balcony that has an uninterrupted view over the Rhône valley in Wallis.
Everything was beyond expected. The apartment was HUGE. We had a lot of common space, everyone had their own room. The self-check-in was smooth, went as described. The hosts were friendly and gave enough information about everything. Highly recommend this place if you're in Bellwald.
The hotel is a family run hotel and the staff were very welcoming. The rooms were excellent very well appointed, spacious and clean. Dinner was also very good quality with a varied and interesting menu. Breakfast was buffet style but fresh and high quality.
The hotel location (near lift - no need to use any car during our stay), the restaurant, the beautiful view from our room, the kindness of the staff and the access to the SPA.
A lovely residence in a hill in Bellwald. Spacious appartment with full kitchen facilities. A balcony with very good mountain view. Good indoor parking and wifi.
