They don’t have hotel staff to help with luggage, to get to the room you have to use 2 elevators and stairs. This was very difficult esp with multiple luggage’s and children. When I requested for help they were not helpful and rather rude.AAnonymous - 6.0Scored 6.0

Beautiful place, the view from our room was breathtaking! Breakfast was very good, and also we had dinner twice at the restaurant and food was great. The hotel has several floors, and even though they have elevators, you still have to take the stairs to go to some places, and they do not have ramps in the stairs, which make it very complicated because we were traveling with our baby and to carry the stroller through all the stairs wasn't good. Service was regular to bad, we didn't find the staff to be very friendly. We had an issue with a waiter at the restaurant. When we arrived the room wasn't clean, we found pieces of glass on the floor, when we told them they didn't seem to care much, also they didn't clean our room. They don't have room service, if you want to order something for the restaurant my husband had to go directly and bring everything by himself, and then again, it was quite long to take 2 elevators and 3 stairs to get from our room to the restaurant. Beatenburg it's self is quite small and very quiet.There are some cafe's and restaurants but not a lot going on.For more facilities you have to travel down to interlaken which is no problem at all.

The location is great, the view of the lake breathtaking. The village seems a bit in need of investment, but under deep snow it still looks just great. If you have kids don´t forget to check the local toys/stationary/bookshop. There is a very nice "kugelbahn" - marble run in the shopping window. There is a very nice slope in the village for sledding, great for easy afternoon with kids. The space seems a bit squeezed though, there is not much space next to the road for walking, you always have to keep the kids under supervision. It is very beautiful and quite place . Also , it is cooler comparing to Interlaken. Sceneries and views are spectacular as it is high comparing to other land .public transportation services are really great . The road to Beatenberg is a bit hard and takes time to go to Interlaken or to come back .

The heating, hot water and appliances were all working. So, we were comfortable. The apartment was clean. The designated parking space worked well. The apartment had brooms and a vacuum which were a plus for a 5 day stay. Cushions for the furniture on the porch were also provided. Soap, shampoo and towels were provided. Sheets and pillows cases were nice. Wifi worked well and had password protection.

Away from the tourist throngs in Interlaken, it was literally a breath of fresh air. The themed rooms boast generous space and lots of features that gave it great value for money. The host Dominic was outstanding. There was nothing too much for him. His service, breakfast of choice and complimentary drinks are all extraordinary. The location of the hotel features some of the most spectacular views of the lake below and the mountains. Simply outstanding.

The scenery on way down to interlaken looks like it was taken from a Walt Disney movie. The apartment has amazing view and it is very comfortable and equipped. It has a car garage and all the facilities you’ll need. The communication with the owner is very good.
