Staff was REALLY nice, they do aGREAT job, big thaks to them for friendlyness! I felt really welcome even if there was a little issue with the payment.

It was very unique staying in a historic building. It had so much to offer and the staff was amazing and friendly. The buffet in the morning had more than enough choices and the gym and sauna were clean and a great addition to the already beautiful hotel. We loved it so much, we booked an extra night. EXCELLENT!!

Loved how easy the city was to navigate on foot and find...
Loved how easy the city was to navigate on foot and find your way from site to site. Handy signposts were great. I ate on the go - Subway & tried Sibylla for first time. Started off full of energy thanks to the solid breakfast provided all-inclusive at my hostel. Managed to squeeze in Umedalen Sculpture Park, Women's History Museum, Bildmuseet plus nearby giant clothespeg sculpture, Västerbotten Museum, Umeå City Church and the local cinema in my 2 day stay. Not bad! Riverside walkway also made for a charming saunter beside the frozen river. Sadly no SSL/Allsvenskan innebandy matches played for me to attend while there and the Guitar Museum was closed but makes for great reasons to return :)

Umea is a wonderful nordic city with a small population. The city is generally safe and the people are generally welcoming and willing to assist especially when visitors seem lost. The cost of living seems to be high compared to other places but this is understandable given the high incomes and standard of living in Sweden. The hotel is super clean, the staff extremely kind and helpful, the price is very honest for the offered service. I travelled with my three children and I was worried of the shared bathroom, but in the end it turned out to be an advantage since we could have a shower in parallel, saving a lot time!
