It's a nice place to visit for a day.
It's a nice place to visit for a day. You can always try and combine your visit there with a concert or something else. Transportation is okay but with weird timetables, you need to check them on advance. Great place to eat is the Blackstone Steakhouse, eating there made our day!

Surprisingly Gävle offered us a different angle every time we go there. Just 2 hours away it like having a relaxing holiday! Friendly people, beautiful sights and the nature......WOW the nature is next to nothing else in Sweden=GO THERE!

Pretty and compact city centre - wish I was still around to see the giant Goat. Well kept pool hall at Interpool. Good eating at Sarah's and the Pub and Kok next door. Friendly service at Roma Pizzeria.

Nice typical small city of Sweden. Go here during the summer to sit down in one of the cafes/pubs for a beer or a latte. Wintertime it is a bit more hostile so be prepared with warm cloth and a great apatite for looking at old buildings. Slow moving

Plenty of nice restaurants, shopping and the city is built for bike riding as is most of Sweden. There are plenty of places to rent bikes from if that is your thing and there are lots of are activities.

The place is right across the street from the Central railway station. The room is very quiet, warm and easy to breathe. In the roof window you will see the Cathedral dome. Marko, the owner, is positive and attentive, it was a pleasure to deal with this generous and noble man. He loves his place and that makes the whole space alive. I recollect my staying in Gävle with a big warmth in my heart and wish it could last longer.

The hotel facility consists of a really nice and cosy old cottage that has been turned in to a sort of residents lounge, where you can sit and relax , a really nice touch. The breakfast was included in the stay and very good. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stop over in this area. I will also return at the next opportunity. an excellent find.

The hotel has so much character and reflects the Grand hotel of times long past. The rooms are modern with comfy beds and marble bathrooms. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. This time, as it was Sunday, the restaurant was closed but the staff gave us a wonderful recommendation around the corner from the hotel and we enjoyed it so much. The breakfast, as we knew, left nothing to be desired.
