This is accommodation exceeded our expectations. We had such a great relaxing 4 day stay here and even got to see the northern lights one night. The stuga has everything you might need and is even more spacious and beautiful than in the pictures. Everything was super clean. The surrounding area is perfect for winter walks and the views are incredible. We highly recommend this place and hope we can come back one day!
Abisko is a really beautiful place. We went there to see the Northern lights and we were not disappointed. We also joined a snowmobile trip near our accommodation and it was fun and adventurous to tour around while riding the snowmobile and see wonderful sceneries. There are some other activities that can be done in Abisko too. Loads of love from Malaysia.

Abisko is small and friendly with a significant international population during the tourist season. It was easy to reach by overnight sleeper train from Stockholm. There is plenty to do but most people were there to see the Northern Lights because of its reputation as one of the most spectacular and accessible places in the world to see them. The only place to buy food is the convenience store attached to the gas station but it has a good range, at the prices you would expect for such a remote place. We visited in a “heat wave” of -15C in December when the locals expected more like -25C. Most accommodation and activities rent or provide boots and clothing to help you cope!

We particularly liked the fact that Abisko is remote and unspoilt. The scenery and mountainous backdrop are breathtaking and to have been able to hike around the area was delightful.
Seeing the Northern Lights on our second night, facilitated by Alex, was a dream come true and furnished us with some amazing pictures to take home to those who didn’t believe we would see them.
We ate a good, reasonably priced meal at Abisko Turiststation and would have liked to have tried the food at The Mountain Lodge but it was shut which was a shame.
The supermarket nearby is well- stocked and comparatively reasonably priced for essentials such as milk and bread.
The village is easily navigated on foot and well-signposted.

The natural part is stunning.
The natural part is stunning. Both winter and summer periods are filled with activities. Winter is special for the northern lights and 24hours night while the summer is known for the midnight sun and the Kungsleden trail for hike.

It is honestly one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen. We were staying there for several days, instead of just using it as a start of a long hike, were afraid that there is not going to be much to do. But there were enough short hikes and different views to keep us busy and in complete awe. Also, so many berries.

I was in a mixed dorm - which was clean and had enough space. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. They could however store toilet papers in the bathrooms as they tend to run over before the maintenance breaks.
Food was ok not great and little option available for snacks. Esp since this is a cold place - warm snacks would be a god send - and that was not even an option here.
One of the most perfect places I have ever been in life. Extremely clean with great location, just few steps from the market and bus stop. Very professional and kind staff, supporting with different informations about the area and guesthouse itself. Comfortable room and common areas with well equipped kitchen. If you love your life Abisko should be your top destinations to come and when you will get there, Abisko Guesthouse should be your top destination to stay.
The location was fabulous. We could see the Northern Lights from our window. Staff was very friendly and helpful, always willing to go out of their way to help all guests. Beautiful surroundings, excellent amenities, comfortable rooms. Absolutely delicious food, breakfast and dinner. I can't recommend Abisko Mountain Lodge enough. Thank you for such an amazing experience.
Amazing place, clean and comfortable, very helpful staff, you no need to carry anything the kitchen is fully equipped, the sauna is excellent, close to the lake, the supermarket and the tourist station you can just walk there and enjoy a super good lunch buffet to recover the energies. This place make my first visit to Abisko unforgettable. Thanks 😁❤️🙌🏻🇸🇪
The location of the Hostel is perfect! Walking distance to the train station, supermarket, lake and pathways for walking in the mountains, and the National Park. There’s also a Helipad where you can see the northern lights very near. The hostel offers a lot of activities and you meet many interesting people. You can also see/pet the huskies at certain hours!
The staff was very nice and helpful. We had the cottage which included a bathroom and 4 beds. The kitchenette was very useful, you could make your own breakfast there. The hotel has car pickup and delivery to and from Kiruna airport/Kiruna city. Worth going there for a whole week to enjoy all their tours and activities!
Fantastic location within the national park. Walking distance from most everything. All tours etc offer pickup from STF also. Can easily walk straight out onto Kungsleden for a few hours. The premises were well kept, particularly when conditions became icy, the maintenance of the paths and roads was never far behind.
The location for Northern Lights tour & National Park. The reception staff were excellent and enjoyed a laugh. They dealt with our room change request very well. We had a late night noise issue that was unpredictable and we were very happy with their response.
Very friendly staff, very clean,, close to shop and abisko Östra train station
Bbq and lights tour with Jacob/Ice hotel with Sophia. Both good knowledge of area and fun guides
Elizabeth had our room clean and ready for early check in.
Near to Abisko national park and location is good to explore the hiking trails. I was here for a night and went for 3 short trails by my own. Common area like pantry and kitchen is huge and comfortable.
The view is amazing and has quick access to the park where you can explore and clearly see the northern lights. Walking distance from the train station.
