This is accommodation exceeded our expectations. We had such a great relaxing 4 day stay here and even got to see the northern lights one night. The stuga has everything you might need and is even more spacious and beautiful than in the pictures. Everything was super clean. The surrounding area is perfect for winter walks and the views are incredible. We highly recommend this place and hope we can come back one day!
Abisko is a really beautiful place. We went there to see the Northern lights and we were not disappointed. We also joined a snowmobile trip near our accommodation and it was fun and adventurous to tour around while riding the snowmobile and see wonderful sceneries. There are some other activities that can be done in Abisko too. Loads of love from Malaysia.

Abisko is small and friendly with a significant international population during the tourist season. It was easy to reach by overnight sleeper train from Stockholm. There is plenty to do but most people were there to see the Northern Lights because of its reputation as one of the most spectacular and accessible places in the world to see them. The only place to buy food is the convenience store attached to the gas station but it has a good range, at the prices you would expect for such a remote place. We visited in a “heat wave” of -15C in December when the locals expected more like -25C. Most accommodation and activities rent or provide boots and clothing to help you cope!

We particularly liked the fact that Abisko is remote and unspoilt. The scenery and mountainous backdrop are breathtaking and to have been able to hike around the area was delightful.
Seeing the Northern Lights on our second night, facilitated by Alex, was a dream come true and furnished us with some amazing pictures to take home to those who didn’t believe we would see them.
We ate a good, reasonably priced meal at Abisko Turiststation and would have liked to have tried the food at The Mountain Lodge but it was shut which was a shame.
The supermarket nearby is well- stocked and comparatively reasonably priced for essentials such as milk and bread.
The village is easily navigated on foot and well-signposted.

The natural part is stunning.
The natural part is stunning. Both winter and summer periods are filled with activities. Winter is special for the northern lights and 24hours night while the summer is known for the midnight sun and the Kungsleden trail for hike.

It is honestly one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen. We were staying there for several days, instead of just using it as a start of a long hike, were afraid that there is not going to be much to do. But there were enough short hikes and different views to keep us busy and in complete awe. Also, so many berries.

I was in a mixed dorm - which was clean and had enough space. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. They could however store toilet papers in the bathrooms as they tend to run over before the maintenance breaks.
Food was ok not great and little option available for snacks. Esp since this is a cold place - warm snacks would be a god send - and that was not even an option here.
The Lodge is really nice, cosy, comfortable. The welcome you wish when arriving in Abisko.
The room (superior) was pretty big and characteristic.
Good restaurant (the only one probably in Abisko when we got there) and good breakfast!
The hall has a cosy area with books and board games, and a small shop.
The personnel is kind and gives good suggestions.
There is a flat high ground area 3 min walking (helicopter base) with darker sky where to spot aurora!
Sauna is a plus.

The location of the Hostel is perfect! Walking distance to the train station, supermarket, lake and pathways for walking in the mountains, and the National Park. There’s also a Helipad where you can see the northern lights very near. The hostel offers a lot of activities and you meet many interesting people. You can also see/pet the huskies at certain hours!
Close to Abisko Östra station and the only grocer in the area. Also, only 10 minutes to get to the lake. I went during the shoulder season to try to capture the Northern lights and boy I did! Even from the car park. There's a few areas to eat and cook and lots of showers and toilets. The dining with a view of the lake was always beautiful!
The hostel is close to the train station (Abisko Ostra) and close to dark areas to watch de Aurora, the lake, helipad. You can easily walk to the Turistation to have lunch. There is a supermarket close by that you can buy your supplies. The dogs are cute and you can see the puppies behond the sauna.
Very friendly and helpful staff at reception example Lucas, and the tourguide Olek who treats his clients like a good friend, he has exceptional knowledge about the Sami and reindeer, the best tourguide I have encountered at Abisko, the apartmemt was cozy comfortable and perfect
The location for Northern Lights tour & National Park. The reception staff were excellent and enjoyed a laugh. They dealt with our room change request very well. We had a late night noise issue that was unpredictable and we were very happy with their response.
Strategic location to explore Abisko National Park and is near to train station / bus station. Breakfast wise, not that fantastic, but with an amazing view. Friendly staffs at Abisko Restaurang Kungsleden. Dinner was pleasant with good wine.
Clean hostel and good value for price compared to other accomodations in the area. The sauna is 10/10! Abisko National Park is about 30 min walk from the hostel, the area is beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Very friendly staff, especially Felipe, big lounge area to hang out, fully equipped kitchens, clean bathrooms and bedrooms, very close to the store, 5 minutes walk to the lake and 15 minutes to the National Park.
Nice hostel in the middle of nowhere.
The vibe is really friendly.
The shared rooms are pretty nice and comfortable.
The common kitchen is really nice and big.
The sauna is nice too.
