Kutchan is a lovely city with friendly locals and widespread English proficiency, making communication easy. There are plenty of options for renting or purchasing snowboard gear, which is convenient for enthusiasts. Overall, I will definitely return to Kutchan.

The beds were comfy and rooms were well heated. Kitchen was sufficiently equipped with all you need. The location was good, near to the JR Kutchan station, a supermarket and a 7-11. Ryo also provides daily morning shuttle to Hirafu, which is highly appreciated. Most remarkably Ryo is a friendly and helpful host, and a wonderful cook too :) This is one of the best hostel we have stayed in!FFui HanMalaysia

The owners were extremely nice and communicated everything well. There a bus stop for both directions at the entrance making it very accessible to either town. When I got hurt and had to go to the hospital the grandma at the property who used to be a nurse helped re bandage my ankle after the hospital didn’t do a good job and everyone checked on me every day. It stands out for being a place with a lot of charm, cozy, well connected to the train station and next to it there is a 7-Eleven. For us the best place to get to know Kutchan, we will return to Kutchan and we will return to the Tbox hotel. The trip has been incredible thanks to them. We hope to see you soon!IriaSpain

Kitchen has everything you need. We didn't have the chance to meet the host but he replied our messages very fast. Washing machine and dryer available as well as detergent! Nearby to all restaurants and close to the station and supermarket. Recommended!! I would stay again!

A very big communal area and very big capsule rooms (even the cheap one I got). Really appreciated being able to use a coin laundry and also the drying room for my snowboard gear. There are many nice restaurants around the area. The room is clean and tidy, and spacious enough even for family of three like us (Two adults and One child). This is an unmanned hotel, instructions needs to be followed to ensure a smooth check-in. The staff can be contacted over the phone at the front desk and they use a translator.
