The Sunset Terrace in the autumn colors of late October was a brilliant hotel choice in Mestia! We chose a room with a large, private, terrace overlooking the stone towers in town and a riot of autumn color in the surrounding trees. The October foliage was just stunning, really. We appreciated having a separate sitting area and bedroom and loved the light coming in from large windows on 3 sides. The bed was comfortable, breakfast good, and staff warm and welcoming. We had a car but enjoyed the short walk to town so much that the car never moved until the day we had to leave.

We were in Mestia at the end of the winter season (end of March). If you want to ski relaxed and without queues in the middle of the great scenery of the Caucasus: Tetnuldi (30 to 40 minutes by car from the hotel) is an absolute insider tip!!! A smaller ski area is only 5 minutes away.
Modern chairlifts, slopes well prepared......breathtaking views. A real alternative for skiing to the crowded skiresorts in the Alps!

I was thinking Mestia was just gateway for Usyuguri Village, but the fact is not. It is nice and cozy town but very convenient as I could buy basic stuff at some shops and change money.
Taking walk in early morning was also nice to take photos of the towers and overview of village.

Mestia is a very beuatiful and special place in Georgia.
Mestia is a very beuatiful and special place in Georgia. Here you can find wonderful mountains, interesting traditions and great food. To go here it is better to choose Summer or Winter season. Winter is good for skiing, Summer is good for trekking and hiking. When in Mestia do not miss the chance to go uphill to Ushguli. These villages are UNESCO heritage and it is necessary to see it at least once. However, be informed that the road to Ushguli is really dangerous because of the stone falls and it is better not to go there when there is a bad weather, especially during the rain.
Wow really everything! It’s a perfect hotel, just like the old days when you come to a hotel and receive a whole experience.
The staff is super amazing and professional, the facilities and the rooms are super high class, the room is well equipped with everything you will need, the restaurant is marvelous and the bar as well, breakfast is amazing and the view is magnificent.
They really have everything you need and the location of the hotel is fantastic
I would definitely go back there again when in Georgia.
I really enjoyed staying with Isolda and Bombora (cute little dog) and therefore ended up spending more time in Mestia than intended in the beginning. Isolda welcomed me with really delicious home made bread, I always had great porridge for breakfast and just felt really welcomed :-) I was the only guest staying there when I came which made my stay even more unique! I loved the self-made marmelade, tea out of fresh leaves and everything else :) by far my best guesthouse experience in Georgia!
The host exemplifies Georgian hospitality, always with a smile and eager to help. Perfect location, beautiful views, all the amenities you could want (community kitchen, laundry, comfortable beds, clean, etc), no problem leaving your things for the hike to Ushguli. You get 20% off during specific hours at the restaurant right next door which happens to be one of the best in town.
Best value in Mestia. 10 out of 10, definitely. Stop looking, this is it.
Location is super central, great since Mestia is a walking town. The staff were friendly, especially the hotel manager who went all out to help us out and show us the place. The place is also clean and comfortable.
One great hidden find is the restaurant at the rooftop. Its has awesome views of the towers nearby and the food and drinks are great.
They have renovated the place unusually well for Mestia, and the daughter (who is from Tbilisi) tries unusually hard to be a kind, modern, and accommodating host. Despite the inconvenient location, this could be one of the best guesthouses in Mestia for the price if they treated guests in a remotely fair, modern, and honest way.
A great option for accommodation in Mestia. A European-class hotel with a beautiful design and very attentive staff who surrounded us with care and kindness.
Comfortable spacious rooms, good Wi-Fi, nice breakfast. The restaurant at the hotel is one of the best in Mestia, so we often chose it for lunch and dinner.
Nice modern clean hotel, helpful staff, tasty breakfasts. A bit far from center of Mestia, but with the car no problem and as I know the transfer is available as well. Very beautiful view from terrace, nature and mountains around. Pet-friendly, we were staying with the cat. Very good stay, can recommend it.
Best thing was room access from outside. I was delighted to get a really hot shower (other place I stayed in Mestia previously had issues with water heating). The lobby was very cozy. Beds were really comfortable, the breakfast was heavenly and the owner was really friendly and accommodating. Great value!
Perfect place to stay at Mestia! Are room was extremely clean, common corridor was so cozy - we even spend a couple of evenings in it!
View from balcony was amazing - you could see most svaneti towers.
Anna and her family is one of the best housekeepers we had ever met!

Wonderful breakfast, helpful staff, tasty food at the restaurant apart from breakfast, comfortable bed, good shower, solid wifi throughout the hotel, some of the best views from any hotel in Svaneti and friendly staff.
Perfect location near to center but not in front of main road. Super nice personel and host. Good food and wine. Very nice hotel itself and the way how it is decoreted. Big rooms. Lota of space. Best stay in georgia.

The best place in Mestia. The room is clean and comfortable. Very delicious varied and homemade food. The owner is very flexible and helpful. Everyone is hospitable in georgia, but here we got even more.
Excellent hotel, quiet location near the old part of Mestia, Lot of parking space if you come by car. Very friendly owners, helped us arrange a transport to Koruldi lakes. Very rich and tasty breakfast.
