Tsaghadzor was so beautiful! I visited in March, the skiing was really great and very affordable. The Monastery is incredible and the street with the restaurants has such a wonderful ambience in winter, the food was delicious and general atmosphere around the town was amazing!

If you travel to Armenia, Tsakhkadzor is a must go place, at least for the Ropeway. It is an amazing experience to go up the hills on a rope, with beautiful views around you.
There is also a zip line and if you like skiing, you should visit in winter. It is very tranquil place to stay. A lot of restaurants in the central part offer Armenian cuisine and very nice atmosphere.

We find great sights while walking in the streets and some nice places to visit along the way. It was a good long walk from the hotel (Kecharis Hotel) to Tsaghkadzor Ropeway, there's more to experience if you have enough budget to try their best activities. Tsaghkadzor City Park is one of the nicest places to take your time to relax and immerse in the beauty of places in Tsagkhadzor, must try the Tumanyan Shaurma along Orbelli Brothers Street with good prices and portions of food. Kecharis Monastery and Armenian Holy Resurrection church can be found 1 or 2km before reaching Tsaghkadzor Ropeway.

Places of interest in Tsaghkadzor such as the Kecharis...
Places of interest in Tsaghkadzor such as the Kecharis Monastery, museums, parks and dining places are within a walking distance from each other. The Ropeway is a bit of a ride uphill (of course) so a taxi was useful. Going down is a good hike.
Tsaghkadzor offers public wifi so its easy to hail a Yandex Go (taxi) even without a pocket wifi/local sim.
On Orbeli St. comes a line up of restaurants - tried Yasaman and its a 10! Tumanyan Shaurma is a good deal, 10 it is for fast food!
We wanted to experience snowfall, and experience white Christmas. But our visit may have been too early (Dec 16) or maybe climate change didn't bring that much snow this time of year vs previous ones.

We totally loved it
We totally loved it
Was amazing in 2 days we did motobike tour, hot chocolate, ski resort was great we even walked to the area was bear by the hotel.
There was an ATM at sky resort.
Very nice coffee as well
The stay was nice! The food was tasty and the spa was perfect. Spa was very clean. The location of this hotel is a little bit far from the central part of Tsaghkadzor, but here you can find taxies for 300 AMD or 500AMD, which will take you to the centre. The best part of being far from center is that here was very quiet and calm. The room was clean and comfy. They brought a cake for my birthday, which was also nice. The staff were super nice and helpful. I was staying with my sister and we really had great time there.
This is one of the best hotels we stayed. It is located in city centre with all restaurants and shops nearby.
It is not near the slopes if you are skiing but the hotel provides a shuttle 3 times during the day to take you to the slopes.
Very friendly staff, spacious rooms, comfort all round.
There are no swimming pool and sauna and jacuzzi in this hotel if you are a fan of swimming after skiing.
Overall great experience and awesome hotel.
good wifi, good view from balcony, comfy bed, big room for 2, kitchen equipped with kettle, electric cooker, fridge, oven, washing machine, utensils, pots, dining table for 2 and sofa. there is a hair dyer which is a big plus for me. this is a typical airbnb and not a hotel so don’t expect any reception or hotel service.
Service was excellent, friendly staff did whatever they can to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Good location: on the weekends it's almost imposssible to get a taxi from the rope way, but since the hotel is on the walking distance it's not a big problem even if you have to carry all the equipment.
Very helpful, hospitable, and friendly staff. Good location, not far from the center. Breakfast was rich and tasty. Private bathroom. TV, and fridge in the room. They also offer a sauna (on request). One of the cheapest accommodations in Tsaghkadzor. Very good value for the price, totally recommended!
I had a wonderful experience at the Alva Hotel & Spa. Every staff member I countered, from the receptionist to the kitchen staff to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! (even their English not fluent, but that’s okay) Thank you so much! Will recommend to my family and friends!
We liked the cozy room, the food was also very good and we even got help with storing food in a fridge for our kid. The swimming pool is in a very good condition, the water is warm and clean. Very family-friendly hotel, especially for small guests.
I love the spacious room and view from my window. Everything is perfect. I love this hotel and it is not first time that I am attending it. Anyway, I would be glad to come back as I love the staff, the mountains and the nature around.
It was the best experience among Armenian hotels. The room was big and quiet, breakfast was good, as well as hospitality. I was pretty surprised by the fact there were a lot of bathroom accessories including toothbrush and flip-flops.
The hotel complex is located on the road to ropeway, in ~7mins from the parking. So, if you're on car the place is good. Also there is a private parking on site.
The room was good with sofa, a lot of place for snowboard equipment.
I highly recommend this sunny apartment to organize your rest. A comfortable apartment where from the balcony you can endlessly admire the wonderful nature of Tsaghkadzor. Clean and every detail is thought out for a guest.
The location is great if you're going for skiing, the hotel is very calm and cozy.
Commendable hotel staff. Exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
A very good place both for couples and for families. Very large facilities, everything you need, you can find in your hotel room, it even has kitchen)).
