Located in the province of South Holland, The Hague is the capital city of the Netherlands. This beautiful city is home to the Dutch government and parliament, the Supreme Court of the Netherlands, and the Council of State.
With more than 150 international organizations, including the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, The Hague differs from other Dutch cities. It features a great number of historic buildings, charming palaces, squares and green parks. The unique Madurodam park is a well-known attraction, where you can learn the history of Holland through amazing miniature buildings.
Next to Hofvijver lake, the Binnenhof is a complex of buildings including the chambers of the Dutch Parliament. Take a guided tour in the monumental Het Binnenhof and visit the Knights Hall (Ridderzaal).
The long sandy beach at Scheveningen is a favorite seaside resort in the Netherlands. Featuring a selection of water sports and entertainment venues, Scheveningen is great for nature lovers and families.

An interesting city with much heritage, a very walkable and attractive city centre, and some great art.
The historic Government Centre courtyard is (normally) freely accessible to pedestrians. Part of the same complex is the Mauritshuis museum, housing exquisite works by Rembrands, Vermeer, Potter, Hals, and many others.
Lower-key than Amsterdam with much less tourists, it's my favourite town in Holland.

We stayed one night at the hotel in room 306, which overlooks the street. Although the room overlooks the street, it is quiet, and we were not disturbed by noise. The room was impeccably clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Our bathroom had a bath, and I took the opportunity to have a bath, my first in a long time - wonderful and relaxing as we have a shower at home. With any hotel, the staff is at the front of everything, and the staff that we met, from the front of the house to others, were great ambassadors for the hotel. All were welcoming, friendly, and professional at all times. I would 100% stay at this small hotel again and recommend it to anyone who visits Den Haag; it is right in the centre and close to bus and tram routes. Shops, restaurants, and museums are all within five minutes walking distance.

The Hague is much less touristy than Amsterdam and far less industrial than Rotterdam. I fell in love with the city on my first visit and have been back twice
It's easy to get around the city, everyone speaks English and the architecture is impresive.
If I'd visited in my 20's I would have definitely considered living there permanently

what I liked most was that it was easy to walk around or take public transport, but food was very expensive. My favourite places was going to the den hagg city centre and open market. I eat their fish called Lekker bek and their soup called Erwtensoep with Broodje Kroket. I loved their chips with mayo, very nice. I will avoid to eat close to the train stations is more expensive.

Areas outside centre also very worthwhile visiting.
Areas outside centre also very worthwhile visiting. Interesting architecture (including Art Nouveau), nice shopping streets (like Frederik Hendrik Laan), interesting musea (Maurits Huis, Kunstmuseum, Gevangenis museum, Mesdag Panorama a.o.), Scheveningen haven and route to Scheveningen Pier. Numerous restaurants a ll over the city and pleasant shopping centre (Passage interesting!) close by and within the city center.
Public transport (tram, bus) is very good and frequent till late evening. Den Haag is a green city with many parks and quiet places for a rest .
Excellent Hotel location, 5-10 minute walk from Den Haag Centraal Railway station. Staff welcoming and friendly on arrival, room big for single person and clean room and everything worked very well in the room throughout my stay. Breakfast was standard continental breakfast and hotel is 5 minute walk to main attractions and museums etc in The Hague City Centre. Close to public transport and no safe in room but no problem as used safe provided by hotel.
I really like the Accor hotel company. I’ve stayed in their properties more than 100 times in the past 20 years and rarely been disappointed. The Mercure in den Haag is no exception. The front desk staff were always very helpful to me. The restaurant was good. The bartender excellent. The women who maintain rooms kept them very clean. And the gentleman in the breakfast room always started my day off with his charm and his smile. Thanks to all of them.
Nice quaint hotel in a very sweet street in The Hague, with little shops and restaurants. I was at 11:15 PM the last one to enter the hotel and at 07:30 AM the first one to leave the hotel, so I did not suffer from the sound of creaky stairways. But since floors, ceilings and stairs are made of wood, other guests might have heard me come and go. The hotel has a nice breakfast area and sitting area. The stairs are steep and narrow.
I really love this Hotel
Especially the location
In the middle of the City Center
Close to every where, just walk
A lot of famous shopping centers, shops, en delicious restaurants (the best is Indonesian food nasi padang : Lapek Jo, just walking 3 minutes you will get a very delicious food with affordable price too)
THE BEST !!!
You have a plan visiting Den Haag ?
You MUST STAY in this hotel
The location is between the city center and the beach, so you need to take a tram or walk about 25 minutes to reach either of them. The stop is only a block from the hotel, which is very convenient. The area is very quiet and located next to the Scheveningen forests with beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was very good!
Second time we've stayed at this hotel. It's in a nice neighbourhood. (The Hague has lots of these!) Tram and bus links a few minutes' walk away. Bars and restaurants on the square, but you may prefer the selection elsewhere.
Apartment had rooftop views and plenty of sunlight.
Elevator in building (if a bit slow.)
The staff was amazing, really going out of their way to compensate the weaknesses of the hotel and that you are having a good time. The bar and a rooms are beatifully decorated. Best croissant for breakfast! The city center is only a short walking distance. All in all, the perfect spot to explore den Haag.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and practical with nice styling. The close proximity to the metro stop made it very easy to get to from the train station with our luggage. I'm keen to return to The Hague and would book this hotel again.
Very nice apart hotel in the center of the hague. Warm reception with very good coffee machine. Apartments are clean and ideal for families/groups and has all kitchen utensils needed during the stay. There is a tram stop in front of the hotel to train station or beach.
The hotel is a great value for the price, is very well located in the center of The Hague and exactly in front there’s a tram line that takes you to the beach. The staff is very friendly, the room is complete and very comfortable. I highly recomend it.
Convenient location close to the train station, 10min walk to The Hague city center. The hotel is nice with a modern young look, the lobby-bar area reminded me some college study room or coworker’s space. the rooms are nice.
Great location, near museums, Scheveningen and the beach. Large room with a double bed AND a single bed which was perfect for our stay with my daughter. The hotel is on a nice lively street (Frederik Hendriklaan).
Outstanding service, probably one of our best check in experiences ever! Location is in a beautiful pedestrian area right in the City Center, Hotel design is imaginative, friendly, and funny!
Room with a great view on The Hague, spacious enough for one person, clean and comfortable. Very nice hotel, good facilities and close to the tram to the train station - just 1 stop.
For The Netherlands boring rules standards, this is still the best Dutch hostel so far that I've been to. Only the Flying Pig Beach Hostel (in Noordwijk) can match, in all aspects.
Breakfast was very good. The location near the beach was ideal. We rented bikes from the hotel and rode to city center and along the beach. All that was very nice.
Nice clean tiny apartment. Not far from the city center, app. 15 min. 10 euro parking if you use parkbee.net, the entrance is 20 meters to the left of the hotel.
The hotel is located in an excellent location, few steps from the tram and city center
Room was comfortable, quiet , spacious ,well lit and with good a/c
