I'm going to hijack this space to promote the Rotterdam Marathon, since that's why I was there. I've run 20 marathons now and this is one of the very best. The city comes ALIVE out on the streets and the crowds are SO supportive of runners, constantly encouraging individual runners by name (printed on bibs) throughout the entire race. Thank you Rotterdam for such a great experience! And for any marathon runners who read this, you really need to run this race and visit this city!

We completed Rotterdam in a day, with a visit to the maritime museum. Markthall is pretty, but thats about it. We enjoyed Denhague a lot.

It is a very interesting city from an architectural point of view. Old is mixed with new and the new buildings are mostly very special.

Overall the city of Rotterdam, is very easy to get around as there is a great transport network there. Unless you are traveling very late at night or very early in the morning the frequency of the buses, metro and trams is very good. There are lots of places to eat and drink. If you just want to sample a few places then I would recommend going on a food and drink tour (There are lots of different tours you can do in Rotterdam) One of the best ways to see Rotterdam city center is by bike. If you are looking to see the city as a whole then I would recommend the metro. Rotterdam has lots to offer. This includes various bike and walking tours, markets, museum's, Zoo's and Architecture

I chose Rotterdam as a good base to see several towns in the region. But in hindsight, I would not do this again and would not recommend it. It's not a destination city. Yes, some cool architecture, but also tons of ugly buildings and generic shopping. If I had it to do over again, I would have booked those 6 nights in Leiden, which we loved!
The hotel is located at a very central spot of Rotterdam, close to "Rotterdam Centraal" railway station.
There was no issue to check-in late, since the deck is working 24/7. The staff is brilliant, made me feel genuinely welcomed. They have provided an advice for the late dinner at the city.
Additionally, helped me with an issue by providing a creative solution.
Room was adorable - comfortable bed, spacious and clean area with the great view to the street.
This was a very nice small hotel in Rotterdam Bleek district. It was near restaurants and shops. I particularly liked the interior of the hotel, which was recently renovated. The rooms were clean and freshly decorated. I particularly liked the bed and the quietness (my room was facing away from street, but the area is silent in general with no car traffic). The bed was super comfortable, and I had a great sleep! Would stay again.
We stayed here a week, enough time to have a clear opinion about this place. The hotel is across the street from the famous Rotterdammer building, 2 minutes from the metro station and 5 from the tram station. The place is very nice, the rooms are spacious, and the bed is very comfy. Breakfast was great and during the evening there is a food hale connected with the hotel, that offers a cultural mix of foods.
We loved our stay at FD hotels! The rooms were very clean comfortable and well designed! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also thought that the hotel was very well located adjacent to main attractions, rotterdam centraal station, a metro station and a tram station. All in all, it was a nice experience and we would gladly recommend it and visit again!
Great location, close to the heart of Rotterdam. The room was very clean and comfortable - nicely decorated. Good shower. Loved being able to check in and out using the machine - super quick. Even though the hotel is on de Meent with many busy bars and restaurants outside we didn’t hear a sound in our room - amazing. All in all a great stay.
Everything!!
I recommend this hotel to everyone. It was lovely. Very spacious room with a nice big shower. Beds are comfortable, wifi works great, location is in the heart of Rotterdam. Even though it is close to downtown the street is quiet and you can sleep with the windows open. Staff were so nice and welcoming, also gave recommendations
Conveniently located near the Rotterdam Centraal train station. There is also a tram stop just in front of the hotel. Walkable to nearby dining and shopping areas. Front desk's Issey (I hope we got her name right, sorry if misspelt) was very helpful and professional.
Great location very close to Centraal Station qnd a short walk from the centre of Rotterdam. The staff were very friendly. The Mexican street food was fab. The quirky layout and individualised room created a great vibe in the hotel. Very highly recommended.
The hotel is in a good position, very near to the central station and from it is possible to walk to the city centrum in about 15 minutes. The price is high for the offer, but lower compared to the average in the Netherlands. The breakfast was acceptable.
Very well located, the staffs are very friendly and kind. The room was perfect. I love the warm welcoming letter and amenities. Breakfast is a plus with a very good quality food. I would definitely go back to this hotel my next time in Rotterdam
Art deco hotel, very good views overlooking Erasmus bridge and downtown looking south from 7th floor. Good cooked and buffet breakfast. Lots of shopping all around, Metro outside. Walking distance from Rotterdam Central station
Great little hotel, just 10 minutes of walking from the Rotterdam Central Station. It's located on a quiet street so that was also very appreciated.
As a note, if you need a hair dryer, you can get one from the reception!
Their slogan says it all: "Like the price, love the design". This no frills hotel is a wonderful hub to visit downtown Rotterdam with a lot of sights to see in walking distance.
Good, clean, comparatively modern hotel in central Rotterdam. Very close to restaurants, shopping district and most importantly the central train station.
