I stayed here twice now, on both occasions the service provided by the staff was great, the room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the restaurant downstairs provided good breakfast and dinner. I especially appreciated the early check-out option.

Pretty much a standard business hotel with standard service, not bad, not great. Good proximity to downtown.

Groningen is a beautiful city , I would prefer it to Amsterdam . It is a nice size, there's loads to see and do. The Groninger Museum always has terrific exhibitions and the building itself is amazing. The Ship Museum is excellent also . There is a lovely ambience with many cosy cafes and bars and great eateries such as the Drei Gezusters. We had great takeaway food at the Vis Markt , the Kibbeling is very tasty and the portions everywhere are generous.
As it is a University city , there is a lively student atmosphere,
We walked everywhere as everything is accessible. It is a wonderful spot for a city break.

We liked this time a lot because of the boat tour through the town and our visit to Groninger museum with the Rolling Stones exhibition. We had diner at the Branderij and at Eetcafe de Slingerij. Both good quality for a fine price and kind staff.

Groningen is a lovely univeristy town easily reached by train. Taking a walk through the center to visit the almshouses (there is a good guidebook for that) and their gardens was a pleasant way to get to know the city. A big plus is that there is no mass tourism as in Amsterdam, mostly day trippers from the area or just across the river from Germany.

I would definitely recommend Groningen as a place to visit.
I would definitely recommend Groningen as a place to visit. It is a little gem. It’s easily reached from Schipol airport by a direct train that takes just over 2 hours.
I only discovered it as I found Dutch family that live here. Definitely recommend as a change from Amsterdam. The town has plenty of shops and restaurants, museums and a canal. Everything is accessible by foot or local buses. Just be aware of the cyclists.

Groningen is a very lovely smaller town with a nice old town surrounded by water canals. In the city I spent most of my time at a conference at the university, whose campus itself is very interesting and I had the opportunity to see the particle accelerator there as part of the excursion - certainly very interesting for those interested in (bio)physics and (radio)medicine. In my free time I walked through the old town and around the canals, which was very nice and romantic. The same could be said of the walking path from the city to the university area, which led through beautiful, almost wild countryside along horse paddocks, one arm of the river, among meadows, etc. The town also offers great gourmet experiences. I was only able to spend a few days in the city, so unfortunately I didn't have a chance to explore the surrounding area.
Really well equipped and very tastefully furnished, spacious apartment. There's even a children's corner with toys. The kitchen area is amazing. Lounge with sofa and chairs and a nice big TV. The host checked us in over the phone and helped fix it so that we could park in the street for free. The location just on the outside of inner Groningen is in perfect walking distance - a minute or two - from the inner city, and the slight distance is actually an advantage in this city full of students and youngsters where a lot is going on.
Very good hostel double room that had air con and a TV. Although small the ensuite shower/toilet was very good. Hostel included other communal areas and is part of the large Martini Hotel. Was allowed to bring my bike into the room which was a great help. The location was superb in the centre of Groningen. You can also have a reasonably priced breakfast at the Hotel.
The hotel is very conveniently located close to the city centre. Bus and train stations are within walking distance, as are supermarkets. The kitchen facilities are more than adequate. We had to modify our reservations a number of times during our stay. We found the staff extremely helpful and they went out of their way to accommodate our requirements.
We had a pleasant stay at NH hotel in Groningen. The room was clean, bright and quiet for the whole stay. Certainly recommended for people that need to visit UMCG, and it is convenient also for visiting the city centre (just 5-10 minutes of walk distance). The staff was available to different requests.
A very nice luxury hotel in the city center of Groningen. The rooms are nice renovated using high end materials. The staff is very friendly and we received a free upgrade as well. In the lobby of the hotel there you can also enjoy a coffee with something else.
Everything was wonderful and this was my fifth visit since 2019. The pension is clean, secure, and very conveniently located between the train station and the center of Groningen. The staff, as always was exceptionally helpful! Highly recommended!
Great apartment right in the centre of Groningen. Beautifully furnished, very quiet, good wifi. About 100 meters from Interparking Centrum (I think we paid 22 euros for 24 hours) and surrounded by lots of bars, shops and restaurants.
the apartment was precisely as described, indeed ‘Dutch cozy’. It was well-equipped, comfortable, quiet and handy to the major park and the city centre. There are full-service shops and grocery stores around the corner.
Spacious rooms with modern appeal. Clean and well maintained/new. Staff was helpful to assist in our requests to store some food in their refrigerator. Excellent hotel for a business trip or visit to Groningen city.
The hotel is very well situated, close to the university. There are a lot of bars and restaurants nearby.
The staff was super nice and very helpful. Thanks again to Joey for arranging our late checkout :)
Great room, in beautiful location in centre of Groningen. Well organised, very friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast and service! Already the third time i stay in your hotel and will continue to do so!
A very clean hotel with an amazing location right in the city centre. Enjoyed the stay a lot! The breakfast was alright with quite a good selection of hot and cold food options available.
Good hotel near the Martini congress.
Friendly staff and very much appreciate the extra breakfast service downstairs at 11am from a kind young lady. She deserves a raise, just excellent!
Had a very good room and slept nicely. Was overall very happy with hotel, staff, breakfast, wifi, cleanliness and would absolutely recommend it for some nights to explore Groningen!
