Beautiful place - very cozy and quiet … a bit more lively atmosphere in the center will help to add more tourists, but apres ski bars at the lift are very nice and loud though 😊 few good restaurants but mostly in the hotels, picturesque promenade along the river

Zell am Ziller is a small town, there are sparr and billa supermakets, souvenirs shop. This location is very suitable for skiing whole Zilertal + Gerlos if lift is closed the bus transfer to Gerlos takes 30 min. Also by train or bus you can easily reach Kaltenbach+Fugen or Mayrhofen and Hintertux. For those who stay in Zell all ski area of 400 km pistes is at hand

Excellent place for a short vacation.
Excellent place for a short vacation. Nice little town in the valley surrounded by high mountains. Very close to the ski lifts Rosenalm-Bahn and Karspitzbahn - practically 20 minutes form the town center. However, there are lots of parking spaces available next to the ski-lifts.

There was really good hiking and a cable car accessible that we didn’t have time for.
The Bob run was a LOT of fun.
We went to a very lovely (pricey but very very lovely day spa) Malis Garten. They also do lovely cakes.
We went to an absolutely horrible Italian which I really would avoid if you can - pizzeria Quattro (I think). The food wasn’t fresh (pizza sauce was out of a bottle and my pasta sauce was too - along with the salad dressing. V disappointing.

Overall for a ski resort, this was an excellent area for family skiing, runs were varied and it covered a wide area. We found the ski lechner ski school efficient, friendly and well located on the slopes. We found that most of the restaurants on and of the slopes dealt in cash rather than card so bear that in mind when buying your meals.
There are 4 main areas of skiing in the valley which we managed 3 of them due to having our son in ski school. for a ski resort ques were not long and on one of the smaller ones there was hardly anybody on the slopes to the point that we had the piste all to ourselves which was great for skiers that are not so confident.
Beautiful and comfortable apartment, with all the necessary amenities. Location in a quiet and beautiful natural environment. The host is extremely friendly and helpful in everything, fresh rolls are provided in the morning, so breakfast can be quiet and there is no need to visit the shop in the morning. The distance from the ski slopes is short, and the bus routes are extremely well organised - one passes by Huatenhof itself. All in all - I recommend it for families, if you have a puppy the location is pet friendly.
The Gallahauswwas amazing! Andrea and Fred and staff were there for everything and always willing to help. The facility is super great and the food is expand always fresh. During breakfast we had homemade jams and honey from their own hives as well as fresh made bread. We will be back again for sure and couldn’t recommend this place enough. Very close to the main ski lift and restaurants.
The guest house exceeded our expectations. Plenty of space for the whole family. Well equipped kitchen. Clean and cosy. The owner very friendly and helpful. No problem with parking. In the basement there is a ski room. To the ski lift 4 minutes by car or by ski bus, to which you have to walk a few minutes. Thank you Mrs. Joseph for a wonderful stay!
second time staying at the hotel and we loved it even more. the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Denis from the restaurant crew was fantastic! the rooms are very cozy, large and functional and it is so easy to get to the ski lifts. we will come back in 2023! the breakfast provided in the room is top notch as all the fine cuisine.
The apartment was very spacious for my family. Very nice balcony landscape. It's quiet, the catwalks are singing. If you go to the booth, you can go by car and leave it in the free parking lots at the train station, the beach. I recommend for those who arrive in Zell am Ziller to use the Activ Card from the information point in the center.

Spacious appartement centrally located in the village, walking distance everywhere, also to the ski lifts. The Romantic penthouse with artistic features, yet comfortable and functional. A practical ski room to dry your boots and skis in the downstairs.
The attention to detail and care for their guests was top notch. There were so many extra amenities for couples and families as well. The hotel truly went above and Neil’s to make our stay completely comfortable and so wonderful.
The owner was quite hospitable. She gave me a free upgrade to comfortable double room with huge balcony which had amazing view.
All typical hotel like facilities. Was extremely clean.
Breakfast was great as well.
