We stayed in Waidhofen an der Thaya while completing the Thaya Tal cycle path over three days. The whole circular cycle path, partially into the Czech Republic is a lovely route, mostly on dedicated bike paths or quiet country roads. Beautiful scenery. E-bikes would be recommended unless you are serious bikers. In Waidhofen we had a fabulous dinner at Gasthaus Lorbaer, just down the road from Konditerei Mussauer.MichelleAustria

This one was so unexpectedly nice and cozy (unexpectedly because you don’t expect much from motel). Not so big but decent breakfast.
