The place itself is very nice and clean and he staff is very friendly. While I loved the place I would not stay there again simply because of the LOUD church bells across the street that wake you up at 6AM and keep you up.

There are beautiful lakes in the near surroundings that you can reach with short ride, not only the Attersee. You don't have to stay right at the lake. The town is small but nice, you find all you need, good restaurants, supermarket, some shops. Bring your bike or rent one! Go for hiking or for a klettersteig! Salzkammergut is a wonderful area!

This hotel is owned by very nice, happy and hardworking couple. Beautiful sitting outside, you can choose between many places where you can enjoy breakfast or dinner. Btw. the dinner costs only 11€ per peson (four courses!). Beautiful views, swimming pool, no problem with late check-out etc... Definitely a good choice of accomodation.JohanaCzech Republic

The room was clean and the breakfast had everything you could wish for. The best thing was the owner though. He was super friendly and accommodating.

If you're looking for traditional, typically austrian accommodation at very good location (5mins to Attersee), definitely try Gasthof Steinberger. Easy parking right in front of gasthof.

I liked the lawn right next main building with a loungers. There is a train (tram) stop near the hotel which takes you directly to the Attersee and rides every hour. We stayed there as base for visiting Salzkammergut lakes and nature. The city is self is also really nice for waling around.
