Attractive alpine valley town. Good restaurants and a cosy cafe. Be warned, however: Austrians like to dine earlier than any other nation I've encountered, so make sure you reach a restaurant/hotel by seven o'clock - kitchens close 7.30 - 8.00.
Locals were very friendly and helpful, at least to this non-German speaking idiot whose sat/nav took him to a lumber yard some few kilometres from his hotel.

I arrived on Tuesday the 19th October, when all the restaurants were closed, but managed to find supper in near(ish) Miemming. Be warned that even on days when they are open, restaurants in this area tend to stop serving at eight P.M. Plan you arrival accordingly! Nassereith is an attractive town somewhere near the bottom of the north side of the Fernpass. A couple of churches - one obviously Catholic, with it's Italianate cupola, the other more austere Protestant, but nonetheless beautiful. Nice mountain scenery, friendly locals, and excellent local beer and cuisine. Local-ish wines are worth sampling, too.
The hotel, its rooms and interiors definitely invoke the sense of being in a royal middle-european castle, especially the restaurant. Definitely worth it. The single room does not feel cramped for space - there is enough free space around. Definitely worth a stay for holidaymakers in summer (lake activities) and especially recommend for motorbike/cycle tourists like myself. Restaurant has good food.
Great place! Mrs Eiter and her husband are a very lovely family and their house is super comfy. We have enjoyed our stay there. The hosts were easygoing - we were mumbling some German words to them yet still we have managed to have a nice conversations and arrange everything well :) Nassereith is a nice village too, but you must be equipped with cash.
A nice and clean hotel equipped with all amenities as described. VERY NICE view from the window, The host, the hospitality and all around organisation of our host was exceptional! Great restaurant in the building with very good breakfast We were extremely happy with our stay and we would like definitely come back. I realy recommend.
Absolutely superb setting in the Alps, the castle and the hotel together are just beautiful. The reception on arrival was excellent, they had reserved a table for us in the restaurant and the meal was brilliant, we both had the Jäger Pan which I would highly recommend, especially hungry bikers who just traversed the Fernpass.
The grounds include some very easy hikes around the lake and free access to paddle boats and canoes. There is an on site restaurant, and they are very accommodating with late check-in. If you are arriving after the kitchen closes, you can notify the hotel and they will set aside a cold plate for you when you arrive.
Perfect small family hotel, in an amazing landscape, beautifully designed with care for details. Welcoming owners doing a great job for their guests. Close to lots of tourist attactions in a very offering area. Definitely to come back.
Amazing view and the house feels amazingly homely. Not like a hotel at all. But be aware that you should travel here by car. It´s possible to take a public bus, like we did, but the bus only comes three times a day.
Very nice hotel, big rooms with bath & shower. Very clean and amazing view from our room on the 2nd floor. Amazing hospitality and very nice breakfast. Private parking on site. Would highly recommend.
