The location is very good. The hotel is quite old and a little rocked down, but clean. It is apparently for sale and we had the feeling that since it is for sale no big effort is being put in making this an attractive choice. The breakfast was below standard, the good reviews must date from a time before the property started to be for sale.

Great place for sightseeing, hiking all year round and skiing in the winter. We had food at the Ochsenwirt which was really nice. Some places can be a bit pricy but there is lots to choose from. A visit to the Basilica is a must.

Beautiful small city with a fantastic surrounding. It's very quiet place in winter except during the catholic holidays as we heard in the hotel. One ski-lift starts from the city center which would be nice but the tracks are not well maintained. Most of them was closed, although the weather would have been suitable to create more snow. A pretty town.
A pretty town. Although it snowed unexpectedly and heavily while we were there the pavements were cleared quickly. We intended to use it as a base to explore Austria by car so we did not spend much time in the town itself.
